Since AT&T took over BellSouth the Internet performance has been less than stellar, while IFITL/DSL is up almost always - its really no good to me if I can't get packets across the network in a reasonable amount of time, if at all. IFITL is a real problem you pay a premium for lackluster bandwidth and support. AT&T should have focused on providing Uverse in IFITL areas first but they didn't and continue to bleed those on IFITL dry.
Connection Reliability I rated a 3, while the physical network Layer 1 and 2 (physical plat) is rock solid. Layer 3, TCP/IP the Internet is shaky at best. Fix routing, DNS and Bandwidth and they may yet redeem themselves.
In terms of value, with IFITL you pay the same as DSL for the 1.5Mb/256kb service. But unlike DSL where in most cases you can upgrade to the 3Mb or 6Mb conditions permitting, with IFITL you are capped - "No Upgrade for You!"
From a support perspective, you have a better chance getting good answers in the forum than you can from AT&T. You can depend on getting an quality answer if only slighty jaded by the love of AT&T of some members...
