I was using Comcast triple play, moved in with someone who already had it. Once the 1 year promo was up, the $160/month was too ridiculous. The charges for each of the 3 services was too much, specially since no one watched the tv. Needed a landline for work from home, so ditched the triple play and got the 6/512 speed tier.
The download is the same as the comcast was, we mostly get over 5 down, upload is pretty wimpy, used to get 2 megs up, with the dsl we get around 400k out of our 512 rated. Good enough most of the time, when uploading files to my websites and such, is a bit if a pain, and when sharing linux distros and game updates on bittorrent, pretty much slows everything else to a crawl, even when limiting the upload speed.
Bottom line, good price, good value, and the free modem (after rebate), the $150 for switching from cable, and an additional $50 for landline and dsl, makes it appealing.
