2-24-02 I had to cancel my service. There's no way the lines can be rerouted.

2-16-02 The vendor meet took place, and my line still goes down when the sun goes down and comes back up when the sun does. I'm now trying to get my line moved since I can drive to the CO in 9,000 feet and my loop length is now supposed to be 17,800 feet. I have 5 hours in phone calls, the first 4 hours got nowhere, but the last hour to Amber in Cleveland may get me somewhere. She is at least trying and has a call in to my local engineering group. If this works I'm golden. If not I'm going to have to give up DSL, because I can't rearrange my life around when my DSL connection is up.

I ordered DSL on 1-2-02 with a promised connection date. After enduring misconnected lines and countless hours on the telephone with clueless support technicians, they finally resorted to blindly pulling possibilities out of a hat. After I proved that my FR314 firewall was not the problem and that the problem was not inside wiring by disconnecting my phone lines and connecting the computer directly to the telco box they had someone check my line. I'm at 20,000 ft from the CO. I can connect at about 300-400 k from 8AM to 5PM. Too bad I have to work.

Hopefully there's some improvements that can be made, I'm still trying to work something out.

If they do get this line working at 300k consistently, it would be a great value for me. I wish they would have notified me of the distance and possible problems beforehand.

I finally (2-8) got someone out to the house to watch it go down at 5:30. It's going down later every day so something is tripping it that's on a photocell. The line is good about 20 minutes later now than it was on 1-25. As I said earlier I'd be happy with 300K, but I'd like it to be on when I get home from work at night.
