Way back in April/May of 2000, I ordered (April) got (May) the system. It took two installs, but it finally was installed. It was Up & Down for a year and a half.

In February of 2002 (while I was out of town, no less!) I ordered the 1.5/256 Pkg.
The wife tested the system, and found the upgrade was installed on the same day I ordered it.
In Summer of 2003 I switched from Un-bundled Loop to Lineshare, and added a Siecore Box outside, so I didn't have to add any filters. The "sidegrade" went smooth as silk.
(3/22,2004) I upgraded to the >6/>600 package... Capped downward to 3.2 but system is still solid, and trouble-free!
As Time went on, I checked with the folks, to see if a RT would ever be put near my house, so I could get past 3.2.... Was told it wouldn't be soon, so I downgraded to 3, well over a year ago.
~2006 downgraded to 3M cause RT is as close as CO is.
    Been there ever since.

Even though the 'early' times were rocky, I can say that I'm More than Pleased with SBC/Ameritech DSL

Also would like to say that the support folk who hang out in the Ameritech/SBC/ATT/________ forum are the best! They WILL go through hoops to help you!

2009 update. With economy being what it is, wife wants to consolidate cable, internet and phone bills.. At this point, Comcast is our only choice. I don't want comcast, due to comcast support being argumentative... Every time I need support I'm treated like a know-nothing..... It's a fight to get them to even look at the system. 99% of the time I'm right. Wife is pushing... I'm resisting...
I hope UVerse gets to Skokie soon, or we may be on Comcast services....
