SBC used to handle my account. Sometimes there billing error would be in the thousands. Although it would take all day to get a dispute in, It would take place. If I had a problem with that I would go to the consumer protection agency and they would get things straitened out. AT&T conglomerate doesnt give a crap.
They advertise for a 40.00 a month DSL bill but dont tell you until the order is placed thats only if youre using AT&T for phone service. Which my stripped down nothing on my phone line is 57.00 a month. I am and will always be against these big companies that always use bait and switch tactics. If it were a small guy then the feds would be on him in seconds.
Overall, There customer service is still a piece of crap. It takes hours and sometimes 1/2 a day to get something settled. If anything else were available I would drop them in a heartbeat.
Right now my speeds are 500 dl and 300 up. When ever I have trouble all they do is tell me to clear the cookies. Now wait a minute, I have been on the internet since 1996. I have never had to clear my cookies because of slow dl speeds in the past. But with AT&T I have to do it almost weekly?
I dropped SBC/AT&T for numerous billing errors (as I said sometimes in the thousands in one month). Which waisted countless hours on the phone trying to get it rectified. Which also sometimes led to my service being interrupted. Then to have it straitened out. Just for the whole thing to take place again a few months later.
Overall, I am satisfied with there service to an extent. But would surely drop them to go with another company in a heartbeat.
