I have wireless Internet through the company I work for, but needed a redundant connection. Signed up for the Pro 3Mb package on 3/18/08. The modem (Motorola 2210) arrived two days later and the install took place on 3/24. Since I had done research on AT&T's sign-up system here on BB Reports, I was able to avoid running the install CD and thus avoided all the junk software installation. I also set the modem to bridged mode and used a router with no problems.
The speeds have been consistently above 2.5 Mb/sec in any test I've run, and held there during a Bittorrent stress test that I did with a Fedora Core DVD image. Uploads seem as advertised also, coming in 400-500 Kb/sec.
Only problem I have is that I can't send e-mail through my company's SMTP server. I found the online form to request port 25 unblocking and sent it in, but so far no response. Used my existing Yahoo Plus account to send under the other domain, so at least there's a workaround.
Bottom line: So far, so good!
UPDATE: Port 25 unblocked about a week ago.
