    My Other Reviews·Charter Pipeline
I first looked into DSL in the area back in 2006. After several attempts on there website/phone to see if I qualify, it would say I am not eligible(considering I can see the CO from my bedroom window upstairs) I tried on the forums here on DSLR for a prequal and they found that I was eligible(~2000 cable ft from the co). I called the next day and was able to order the elite DSL package(6000/768) which was $28 a month for a 12 month contract. Received the modem about 2 days later which was the speedstream 4100 I also received quiet a few filters(2 wall plates, 4 regular filters) along with there recommended cable I use. The next day it was active(began working on 6-6-06 ), I didn't have to wait the normal 7 days for it to go active. When I ordered it, the fastest package charter had was 5mb/512kbps so this was the fastest speed in the area. I love the fact that I ping 16ms to Chicago instead of the ~30ms I had when I was on charter. I haven't had ANY issues or downtime(that I've noticed) since I've had the service. I have never had to call tech support on any issue. I just wish they would roll out U-verse service in the area, but that most likely won't have for along time.
