I've compared and compared and compared and the price/value ratio with AT&T DSL seems to be the best I can get. I live in the midst of a muni-fibre effort that has been twice voted down and my other options consist of Comcast (don't like them as a company), other DSL vendors like DSL Xtreme or Covad, and wireless like DataMoCo.com. I have a 5 MB downstream connection (that's supposed to deliver 6 MB) and all in all it's the best I can get for the money. I haven't had any extended outages over 2 years (I do occasionally have it slow or stop in the middle of the night when I'm working, but that's usually over in 15 or so minutes so I suspect they're doing work themselves at the time). Tech support is most definitely weak... I've wired my home to have one filter in my "network closet", but try explaining that to a tech and they insist that I need a filter on every phone jack in the house (just one example). All in all I'm a happy camper.
