Has anyone else had problems with delivery of email using bellatlantic.net? I have had email messages delayed for over two days over a weekend and shorter time periods during the week. Technical support could give me no answers. I have also gotten error messages when trying to send about the bellatlantic.net server not being available. I'm using Outlook Express and have had some problems with it over Netscape.
I had DSL installed at the end of September. The first day of installation went great. The second day got missed due to stormy weather (the technician did call). It took me over two weeks to get through to someone to reschedule an installation. It required me calling my phone company's business office and threatening to cancel my phone service. One of those business office people waited on hold for me for several hours to get through to logistics to reschedule. Then a technician did come out who knew nothing about setting up the software applications and configuring the email systems. When he left, my previous dial-up ISP was disabled (so I couldn't send out my change of email address) and the email system was not adequately configured. This after the technician spent 4 hours on the installation, with a lot of time spent on the phone with technical support (because the gate address didn't work).
I hired a network administrator to come in and finish the job for me so I could get up and functioning and make the transition from my other ISP.
The DSL connection, though, has been great as far as the Internet and very reliable.
