Are you a worker from TWC? You sure like one of the rude associates I had the displeasure of talking to when I had a problem with service.

No 300 ms spikes to show? You've updated the review, but you still don't have any 300ms ping spikes to show of which you've complained about...
maybe it was caused by the overheating modem you killed a few days ago.

Re: No 300 ms spikes to show? Can you show the full trace, so we can see where the 300 ms spikes start?
For all we know, you're causing spikes at your PC and it's just cascading through to the end hop. or It could be that Terayon 715x overheating again... I know it's a new 715 to you, but it still has the same design that gets hot.

hahaLol you have no problems you just like to complain. I have the same service in Richardson and have never had any problems. stop crying

You're not going to like U-verse if you're into pings. In AT&T's infinite wisdom, they use interleaved profiles on U-verse. That adds about 15ms just getting out of your neighborhood. If you want it for gaming, stick with regular DSL.

Re: You're not going to like U-verse if you're into pings.ADSL (fastpath) might get you 9-10ms first hops (DSL-Extreme), ADSL or Uverse interleaved will typically start you beyond 20ms first ping.
Post longer stats for ICMP issues - +1000 entries at least. 10 or less entries in your above posts are not significant.
Also, pings from a router are not always 100% reliable. Attempt to hit the destination target, not every piece along the way.

Maybe...If you have 2.4 gHz phones and 2.4 gHz wireless that could be your problem. Try moving the phones away from the router and see if the problem iproves at all.

As farAs I know, Littlerock has no new houses. Maybe the wiring inside your house is causing the issues? Or the line from the pole? Don't be quick to blame the ISP, the issue may just as likely be something on your end of the line, Time Warner has a done a really good job in fixing their cable issues in So Cal and I would not be surprised if it was an inside wiring issue or something on your end.

Re: As farHit up the TWC direct forum and let them know. Node could be overloaded then.
I do see a marked ping increase on Level3's network too however (4.69.132.82) of almost 100ms. Shitty routing could be possible. Try letting the lease expire and see if you pull an IP from a different range.

Your pings seem fine on TWC's end. Don't let a few high pings earlier in the route fool you. Many routers deprioritize pings and trace routes to focus on their main job(routing) and to help protect against DDoS attacks via ICMP. Your ping looks good on the first Level3 routers, which is out of TWC's network. That being said, your ping to dslr is kinda crappy. Seeing the averages and ignoring the spikes(you can't have 60ms pings to level3 without TWC forwarding the packets to them that quickly), level3 seems to be your issue. There have been many complaints on this forum about them. Unfortunately, yours and TWC's hands are likely tied behind your backs. Sorry to say...
