Brown Dog Networks bought up the old Pacific Wireless network in the late fall of 2010. PW was a really shoddy wireless company that suffered repeated outages lasting from a few hours to well over a week. Hoped things would change with a new company taking over but the outages continued, their network was heavily congested and major packet loss issues and apparently the new company owners didn't give a crap either.

Dumped them as soon as Charter went live in my rural area.

You Can't Tell It's A Dog On The Internet!

You didn't really expect an ISP with Dog in the name to be anygood did you? My dog isn't much good with networking either and I have to help him get online all the time!
Actually I think they should start throwing the crooks who own a lot of ISPs in jail for fraud and theft when they sell service they can't deliver.

Re: You Can't Tell It's A Dog On The Internet!

Unfortunately at the time it was the only service available outside of satellite and they ran it like they knew that. My hope was when this company bought it up they would at least attempt to fix the issues the old company didn't care about. No such luck. Then Charter upgraded and I'm sure they lost most of their clients around here the day that happened.
