I lived in an area where I could not get either DSL or cable. I considered getting satellite internet and T.V. However, I decided to wait until I moved. That way I could get cable internet and T.V. I moved to a place where I could get cable. I ordered the cable and got it the next day. The person I got my information from was very helpful and knowlegeable. The install process went quickly and without problems. The install guys were early (which was cool). I bought a Motorola SB5101 cable modem from Suddenlink. The T.V. and internet connection are unstable. I like the T.V. much better than what I had. Especially since I only had an antenna and converter box. However, I wish Suddenlink had digital cable service in my town. I also wish I could get DVR and on-demand service. I pay $50 per month for 60 analog channels which I don't think is very good. I also pay $30 per month for 3 megabit per second internet. I think this is okay. However it could be better. I am so sick and tired of the outages which occur in GOOD weather!!

hmm

intresting pricing there. you pay 10 bux less than me for the same tv, i always just get basic cable tv. but the internet is far higher relatively. i'm at 35-40 bux for 10 megs. are you in a rural market?

Re: hmm

Wow, they don't even offer Digital Cable in your area? I'm not going to complain anymore after reading your review. : ) I just updated my review b/c we still are on the 8Mb and 10Mb download tiers, but we have Digital and HD available and HD DVRs here. My town only has about 12-13k people.

with Suddenlink

I'm with Suddenlink at Corp. HQ and am vetted to help customers in this forum: »Approved Suddenlink Tech Support Agents. I'd like to ask a senior manager in your area to investigate the service outages you're experiencing, but first would need to confirm the name on the account. You can email me (pete.abel@suddenlink.com) or send me an IM through this forum.
