Basically from day one my connection has had horrible latency. I have called tech support, posted in the vz direct forums over 94 times trying to get them to fix the lag issues. Basically vz ignores me now. I have sent them phyisical documented proof that the lag is coming from their network and they still refuse to admit it or try and fix it. There are tons of posts in the forums about it yet they still burry their heads in the sand. As long as your internet works they wont help you. This has been going on for 3+ years.

Horrible Latency

That's very unusual for Verizon. Are you using another company?

Re: Horrible Latency

Nope still with Verizon. I just dont game as much. I use to game competitively but since i switched to verizon it became impossible. Every once in a while ill fire up the xbox to check if there have been any changes.

3+ years, hard to believe

If anyone actually believes you, why havn't you found another provider?
I find it hard to believe that anyone would stay with any company for 3+ years if they are experiencing what you're describing.

Re: 3+ years, hard to believe

I was on TWC before, I switched to Verizon because i thought it would be better. A few years ago fios was only offered with 2 year contracts so i was tied for the first two years. Then during my complaints they told me if i upgraded to a faster internet (35/35) the latency would be better. I upgraded and it didn't fix anything but that tied me for another year. My cell service is also Verizon and I like having everything on one bill. TWC had better gaming latency but it suffered from peak our slow downs, verizon has been slow all the time. I can link you some videos i made of my gameplay if you like?

lol

so this is based on fifa? why don't you post some trace routes.
If this is what this is based on then guess what , fios does not lag it's the other players that can make you lag , I encounter this most of the time I play fifa.

Pingtest.net result at least

my tracert

Re: lol

Fifa is just a good example to use because you can see the latency. Most xbox fps have something called lag compensation which will make the gameplay look normal. There is a pc video of battlefield there too that shows it as well. All(100%) my games are like that when i play online.

Xbox live recommends pings below 50ms for smooth gameplay. I see quite a few above 50ms. Why would i lie about this? It makes no sense.
