this ftth service is very reliable. speed only gets to about 85% of their advertised speeds (6 and 10mb down, 600 or 1000kb up if i recall correctly were the options), but its been dependable and issues were fixed pretty quickly whenever they did arise. one thing i do is keep a non-qwest dns server on my list. they seem to have had a few issues with their servers. this fixed the problem nicely. on hold time for support help was pleasantly short for this product. my only complaint is that the speed offerings are much lower than they should be for ftth because of their very lame attempt at being a TV distributor over the fiber. i heard from a csr they disco'ing their choicetv offer for most customers and are leading with the directv option. i only wish this was the plan for the ftth communities they serve. it seems that they are going to keep forcing that FiOS-like TV option down our throats (if only it was as good as verizon's...). if they offered the directv bundle here, i would love it. i would take the phone, sat-tv and fiber from them if offered as a bundle. their loss. now all i take from them is the fiber. it is why they only get a 3 for value. at $45 per month via the HOA, it is not a bargain for those speeds.
