UPDATE - 10/17/2016

So it's been a couple of years since we went to the Sonic Fusion product. We were able to bring the cost of internet and phone service down, plus the Sonic phone line had excellent voice mail options.

I was pleasantly surprised that Sonic was now reselling the ATT U-verse. Being that I'm probably one of the few people in Orange County that's a Sonic customer, I know that it was a long shot that they would be putting their fiber offering down here. However, I have had a great experience with Sonic since the beginning, when the were reselling the ATT DSL line, so I knew they would be giving a better experience with U-verse.

I ordered an upgrade via the Sonic member tools on September 28. As always, I immediately received a confirmation email from Sonic. I also received a confirmation text message about the order. I asked (via text) about the timeframe for installation, as I know they are getting slammed with orders and it may take time to get an install date. Sonic customer service responded immediately to my texts, and answered my questions.

A few days later, I received an install date of October 14. Once again, they notified me by both text and email.

October 14 rolled around, and the ATT tech showed up within the time window I was given (9AM-11AM). It took her a couple of hours to get everything set up, as they had to find a second pair at the node for the service. Once everything was installed, I turned off the ATT wifi, plugged in my existing wifi router and I was back online.

Right now, I'm getting 53/6, so it's a great improvement.

Once again, I'm a happy Sonic customer who has had great service and support.

UPDATE - 09/03/2014

I've been a sonic.net DSL customer since Feb 2006. They finally opened up Fusion service in my area of Orange County, so I jumped on it. Turnaround time was great, only 8 days from the time I ordered to the switchover.

As always, the order process was painless, and customer service has been top notch. Only hiccup was that I am the first customer in my area on the network card in the CO (according to support). It needed to be rebooted in order for me to get an IP address for the modem. Tech support was fantastic, actually called me back when they said they would.

So far, so good. It looks like my line is starting at just under 8 mb/s. I'm hopeful that after the first couple of weeks it will jump.

I've been waiting about a month since I got my connection before writing a review. I can honestly say that I'm really glad I switched to sonic.net. The only problems I had was trying to get covad to release my old circuit so sonic could provision. The connection was up and running 3 days before the install date.

Yea, I'd like to have the 768 up I had with cyberonic, but that's an SBC issue.
