    Had AOL broadband...need I say more? Just got Verizon DSL connected tonight. They sent new Westell 327w modem/wireless router which only took about 10 minutes to set up . Link is fast and stable so far. Enough said!

    Update 11-2-2008:

    The past few months our Verizon DSL has been having problems. During certain times of the day (or night) our connection slows down to a crawl or just stops working. Verizon customer service has been responsive, they sent a new Westell 7500 router and rolled a tech to our house (which resulted in them finding 1000' bridge tap), but the problem remains. It has taken 10 or so calls to Verizon DSL tech but now the problem has been escalated to where higher level techs (english speaking) are actually calling me and finally they are talking about problems at the CO. From the great forums at dslreports I have learned that the problem is overloaded routers at VZ and that the people at the Verizon Direct forum can help. I'm giving the regular techs at VZ a little more time though because they really have been trying to solve my problem.

    I also received a notice from VZ that FIOS is soon to be installed in my area...drool!
