TulsaConnect is the real deal. I almost forget to pay them every month because you don't even know they are there!!! The service ALWAYS works. I've had cable and thought it was alright, but looking back it can't compare to the folks at TulsaConnect. Cox was always sending me "offers" and "news updates" via email. TulsaConnect leaves you alone!!
If you want reliable, fast, and courteous service, go TulsaConnect.

DSL and Tulsa Connect solved all my problems! They are excellent and professional!!! I highly recommend them and am very happy I switched to them.
My store of cable woes:
I limped along with Cable service at two different locations before I couldn't take it anymore. Their network simply isn't reliable, I could never keep a connection for more than 10-15 minutes and large downloads would always fail. What finally drove me over the edge was their SMTP server working fine for days and then suddenly rejecting all my emails. Everytime I called them about it their response was that it is their policy not to accept any outgoing mail unless it was one of their email accounts. I told them each time that as the ISP they were supposed to accept their customers outgoing mail each time. This was tiring. This happened 3 times before I threw in the towel.
DSL is *wonderful*. It maybe not as fast at the cable, but the speed tradeoff for reliability is well worth it to me! My connections now LAST, without me always becoming disconnected. I am at 768/128 which is not bad, but I would love to increase the upload speed at some point if I can justify the $.

Speed ordered 1.5Mb down 128K up, 10 e-mail addresses, 3 to 5 computers attached, website hosting for $108.95 per month, no contract Equipment = Static IP
These are the same folks who I used years ago at Webzone. When I call, they know who I am. As a very small business owner, I often work after hours and on weekends. Anytime I ask for assistance of any kind, TulsaConnect responds. Most of my needs relate to reconfiguring my website, my firewall software, or something that TulsaConnect is not responsible for, but I always get friendly, good advice anyway.
I rely on the reliability of my DSL service to upload large data sets to clients and to download large data sets from commercial geological data sources. I view TulsaConnect as my virtual business partner.
I especially like their SPAM and virus filtering features at the ISP level. Most SPAM and viruses can be intercepted before they reach my system. I've significantly reduced the billable hours that I waste on SPAM.

"Valor is the only negative aspect of my DSL service."

1. Pre-Sales Information was excellent. I knew exactly what I was getting, and how much it was going to cost me. Tulsa Connect even made several phone calls to Valor to "keep on them" until they would admit I had DSL service in my area.
2. Install Coordination was excellent, even through the trouble. All I knew was I didn't have DSL service on initial setup, even though I had three green lights. Valor did not set up the DSL service correctly on their end, yet they kept saying it was not their problem. My company said it wasn't their router's problem. Tulsa Connect said it wasn't their problem, but they would get to the bottom of it. My Tulsa Connect install coordinator stayed late on a Friday evening until Valor fixed their mistake. It was an aggravating process that Tulsa Connect handled very well for me.
3. Connection Reliability is excellent. I can't say I've had any trouble at all.
4. Tech Support... Well, I haven't had to call Tech Support because the system works great!
5. Speed / Service Level... Well, I'm not the most technically adept person when it comes to connection speeds, so I can't tell you if I'm getting the promised speeds or not. However, I can tell you I can download webpages, programs, databases, and MP3's at lightening fast speeds.

There's really not much to it. Tulsa Connect offered a 1.5meg / 256k aDSL, 3 static IP address package for 59.95. One week after ordering, thats exactly what I got, just as they promised. I used a Cisco 827 to terminate the DSL circuit. There were no technical issues to work through. The only times that I needed to contact Tulsa Connect was to establish service, and to obtain IP addressing information. Communication was done either via the telephone or email. Since they are a local ISP, their customer service is personal, friendly, helpful, and very responsive. If I ever did have a problem with my DSL circuit, I would much rather call Tulsa Connect than SBC!!!

I am very pleased with Tulsaconnect. I had all of my questions answered completely before I got the service. I was even led by the salesperson to a website where I could get a ADSL modem for a very good price. When I ordered, they told me it would be a week. It was only six days before the service was turned on and ready to go. The day before they installed it, they called me with all the information I needed to set the computer up to work on it.
I ordered 256 down, 128 up with static IP. The price is fifteen dollars less than with cable internet, and I don't have to fork out $39 for decent cable to save $20. Frankly, this is the better internet solution.

Placed my 768/768 SDSL order with TulsaConnect on July 19th. Less than two weeks later, service is up and running! All staff is knowledgeable and have answered all my questions immediately. Home installation had no kinks - tech had me wired up and running in 90 minutes...
Owners of the service are from the original WebZone crew. For those who were familar with The WebZone, it was the largest and IMHO best ISP in Tulsa a few years ago...
$79 equipment charge after rebate, no install charge, $90/month is the best deal I could find locally for this type of service with 5 static IPs. Equipment is an Efficient Networks Speedstream 5851 SDSL router in bridge mode (routing also available).
This is my first day with the service and so far so good. Will update this review in a few months with new info... I'm hoping I'll be happier with TulsaConnect than with my old ADSL provider SWBell - I was quite disappointed with their service.

Ordered 256K up and 1.5MB down. Is in and running FASTER than my previous ISP's 384K up 6MB down. (I knew the old one was bad). Being in a position of reselling their services to my customers may have given me an edge, but I don't think so. If you live in Tulsa, OK. I HIGHLY recommend Tulsa Connect for 56K and DSL service.
-UPDATE-
Just wanted to add that I did several speed tests on my new DSL line and found that I am getting consistantly 1.1MB Down and 244 KB Up. This is AMAZING. Tulsa Connect has got to be one of the best ISPs I have ever delt with. If you are not with them, you should be!

Our company and I have been with TulsaConnect (WebZone) since early 1998. Their technical support has always been of the highest quality. We have recommended TulsaConnect to many of our clients and will continue to do so.
I now have a personal DSL account with TulsaConnect an have continued to receive the highest quality support and service. In our 4 years with TulsaConnect we have been down only one time and that was for less than an hour and was due to a condition TulsaConnect had no control over.
I would suggest TulsaConnect to both businesses and individuals for thier internet connectivity needs, now and in the future.

"3 Static IPs, web space, etc."
"None at this time..."

At the time of this review Valor has had DSL available in the Coweta area for about a month. My concern over DSL and installation was more with Valor than TulsaConnect. The ISP cost with three option in the area (Valor, TulsaConnect, and BrokenArrowDSL.com) were all equal at $19.95 per month. TulsaConnect simple offered more (3 Static IPs, web space, etc.) although I was concerned with their affiliation to the late ISP WebZone.
The short story on WebZone is that it was a great local ISP that was sold to a large ISP holding company. This company keep the name for several years and when they changed it went bankrupt selling their customers to EarthLink. My experience was that I was not notified of this and EarthLink began to bill me when I had already moved to another local ISP. It was a mess ending in calls from bill collectors and nasty registered mail. I understand TulsaConnects need to have brand recognition but from a marketing standpoint this was a BAD move as they have associated them self with a brand that left a bad taste in many peoples mouth.
On Valor I was amazed. Not from a technical side. I know several of the technicians in the area. One is a neighbor two houses away. They have all been in the industry for years. Its that sales/management part that is new as of the sale of GTE to Valor that I expected to fall on it face. It didnt although of the four phone lines I have into the house they keep telling me that the distance on three of them was twice that of the fourth. They still cant explain this.
The circuit went in on time. TulsaConnect did have to contact Valor to get it operational, but the response was quick. In all Im happy as I will be canceling a phone line and dialup ISP account today and the speed is what was promised.
