This is without a doubt the best service I have ever had... hands down. The staff is great and willing to help in any way that they can. I get great pings and it's stable, I test right where I should for my connection. Also, they never go down... I don't know how they do it. I should say that this is also the most that I've ever paid for a connection, but when looking at the connection speed, static line, great support, total reliability, and less than 100ms ping from the middle of Montana... I'd have to say that it is well worth it. If your in Bozeman, need high speed and reliablility, and realize that you pay for what you get... Definately, Definately go w/ Bridgeband.

"Nice techs, competent support, not TOO expensive, never goes down"
"Horrible co-ordination w/ qwest, high pings during peak hours, no usenet"
"You can get better, just not in Bozeman"

I ordered 256k, back in December, I waited a full month, before I called Qwest. They reported that the gear had been sent out, but they sent me another and told me to wait a week.
A week came and went. Still no equipment. Gave them a call, and they sent out the gear. Another week, still no equipment. Called them once more, this time they got it right.
When I recieved the router, Bridgeband needed to configure it for their network. I drove it over to their office, and they were done with it the next day. Unfortunately, they set a password on the NAT router and never gave it to me, so no port forwarding, ergo servers, for me.
DHCP, none of that PPPoE stuff. High pings during peak periods, so not much good for gaming. Transfer rates are 25K+. Competent and nice techs (at Bridgeband, not Qwest).

"Good, solid and SECURE connection."
"Bad co-ordination between CLEC and TELCO, pricey"
"Am very pleased with the DSL connection and service"

Two weeks after ordering, the QWest people had showed up to install the outside line. I was told 4-8 weeks, and thought that this was going to be great, getting it earlier then expected. Unfortunately, the hand-off from QWest took three weeks before BridgeBand was notified. I had agreed to beta-test the non standard routers that they use. The one that they marked for me did not work, so they sent it back for a new one. I was left on hold with no updates. I had to initiate calls to be updated as to what was happening. Once the date was set to install the router and inside wiring, we were set. Other then some glitches on the internal wiring in my house, the install went good. In its basic configuration, no extra hardware or software, DSLReports.com port scan rated my machine a hard target and very secure. The only other problem I had was with account information, but this has always happened to me in the past when using o,O (ohs) and 0 (zeros) in username/password.
Beyong the bottom line: other then the time-to-live, BridgeBand is GREAT.

I ordered 384 SDSL I have never tested lower than 342/360, daily 372/368. I have a flowpoint 2200 with a static ip, They do have some down time but only 15min-1hr every 2-3 Mths. And the worst outage in 1 1/2yrs. was once for 24hrs. Not bad for local Montana Company. Yes, USWEST/QWEST did mess with them on the line install and it took almost 7wks.to get hooked up. But now I will never go back dial-up and with BridgeBand's up time and Tech Support I will never change.

the service is good once it is installed. it never went down as far as i knew when it was installed. however, i'm presuming that the telephone company (quest) is giving them a hard time. i waited two months to be installed. i had to move and it's nearly been six months since the move order i placed.
