Hawaiian Telcom takes over Verizon here in Hawaii and advertises 3Mbs DSL maximum connection speed. But after switching from Verizon, hardly noticed any difference. After speaking to a local Hawaiian Telcom tech support was told that it is normal for people in Hawaii to receive only 900kbs. He went on to say that I was lucky to get such a high speed connection! Just a couple of hours ago, when I tested for line speed I got a whopping 2Mbs connection! WOW!
