In our case the decision to upgrade from dial-up to DSL service coincided with our networking the office computers for the first time. We looked at several DSL providers, but ultimately decided to go with GTI because we had had excellent experience with them as our dial-up ISP. The installation had to be coordinated with the separate internal networking project, and GTI was very cooperative in working with us on this. We also established new e-mail accounts, some of which change with personnel changes, and the company has been very flexible and quick about handling these.
The only real hitch in this process was a mix-up by Network Access Solutions, which somehow sent our connection into the void shortly after it had been established. GTI's technical staff tracked down the problem very quickly and did their part to have it corrected, though NAS seemed in no hurry to fix their problem.
If we were starting over today, I would choose GTI as our DSL service provider again without hesitation.

After the horror of having Flashcom never finish their install before going belly-up; the three month wait for RedConnect to show up before they were at least able to provide (pretty good) service for about six months before they too went belly-up; the GREAT service and speeds and low price from Megapath who unfortunately were re-selling NorthPoint and we all know what happened to them...
Well, after all that, I logged on to DSLReports and saw the GTI banner ad touting that they would welcome NorthPoint orphans, and after some broken promises from Verizon (now why would they be obstructionist, I wonder) GTI was able to successfully migrate my existing Northpoint setup (with their DSL modem, but with the existing inside wiring) over to their NAS CLEC.
So far (two weeks) so good, with no downtime, consistent two-way fast speeds (110-130 kbps) and no hassles.
Is my long nightmare truly over. Stay tuned.

GTI got us off our failed NorthPoint service in less than a week. Since then, we have had no down time, the service is very fast and reliable, and priced right. Unlike most ISP's, you can get a sales or tech support person on the phone in minutes, and they actually know enogh to handle your questions. Highly Recommended, I tell my firends and clients to call GTI before anybody else.

The long delay in DSL installation seemed to be due to the difficulty of getting Verizon to install the line and then to repair it when the initial installation was not successful. The initial installation was scheduled about 40 days after the order. Before the DSL installation we used this ISP using a dedicated ISDN line and found the service to be quite reliable.

I was directed to DSL reports from a friend in the telecommunications industry after I mentioned that our company had outgrown our ISP. I visited their site and found the customer reviews to be extremely helpful with making my choice on who to go with. According to them GTI was a favorite for the North East area. I contacted GTI and they provided all the answers to convince me to make the switch to them. Once I straightened out the mess from my old ISP, GTI was in place and working great. They have a great level of customer support that helped to make the transition as easy as possible.
