Make No Mistake About It
WHO You buy Your DSL From makes all the Difference in the World.
Bell Atlantic - Verizon You have NO Business In This Business.
Global Telecom Had Me Up and Running Like You'd Expect, in Less Than Five Minutes.
Plus I Got my own Static IP.
Equipment Installed was a Lucent DSLPipe, works great!!
Unlike Bell Atlantic, there was NO Phone Que For Technical Assistance Cramming their SpeedStream 3060 into Windows.
Actually It Only took less than Five Minutes with the GTI people, For Real !

I ordered my service on 8/22 and the service was fully operational on 9/11. Thats really fast. I had ordered ADSL from Verizon in June and as of today I am still waiting. This is ADSL, the performance is great and the service is very good. I recommend GTI highly!! They provide static ip via NAT, you need to provide your own dhcp server and switch for multiple computers.

Very Smooth installation!
The DSLpipe installed in about an hour. most of that time was running new wire from outside the house. Connection to GTI was about 5 minutes.
I will recommend this service to my friends and neighbors!

Up and running on the first time. Installation man was Installation man was competent. We were satisfied enough we signed up for multiple residential lines.

I have a small computer business with several computers on a LAN. I wanted
a static IP, and I intended to use my own firewall, name servers, etc.
The other isp's in the area, including the biggest ones, seemed to have the
most clueless sales people possible. They could read their sales literature, but couldn't answer any technical questions at all. GTI knew exactly what I wanted and worked with me to meet my needs exactly. The line installation was held up because of the Verizon strike, but after that was done I had everything up within an hour.
Line speed has been equal or better than advertised. I haven't had any outages,
but they offer a backup dialup just in case.
I've worked with their technical guys before, and they have loads of experience
with ISDN, T1, etc. They are very innovative and are the first to get new
technologies up and working in this area. I'd definately go with them again,
and highly recommend them to anyone.

We've been using GTI as an ISP for a dial-up account for about two years now, with no problems except for the occasional disconnect that was most likely due to problems with the phone line. I prefer to deal with local companies (GTI is in the next town) because if I have a problem that can't be solved over the phone, I can always show up at their office and make a scene. (I haven't had to do this with GTI yet) I ordered DSL service from GTI about one month ago. GTI told me that we'd probably be up and running in about 4 to 6 weeks, and could take longer due to the impending Verizon strike. The strike did happen, but I still had service running about 2 weeks after ordering. Tech service during installation was also excellent -- if I couldn't get help right away usually had a call back in less than 2 hours. The service has now been running flawlessly for 2 weeks. Also, I ordered 128k speed, but just tested it at 249k/252k. Plenty fast enough for us at the moment.
