Works amazing (review was emailed in) lodged 14.3 years ago
I had been having issues with my Internet service provided by the local cable company (high latency, unacceptably high number of dropped packets, and poor customer service response to correct the issues) and had been looking for a reliable DSL provider to switch to. Emailed and spoke with the Interlync customer service rep over the phone and he laid out their service levels, the costs, how long it would take to get the line provisioned, and when the equipment would arrive. From the time the order was place it took 7 days for Covad to provision the line, and 10 days for the DSL modem to arrive. Within 20 minutes of opening up the box I was connected via our dedicated (dry loop) line and was seeing download speeds of 150KB/s from places like Microsoft and Napster. Was seeing some strange readings on the connection and when the Covad tech came out he switched me to a different twisted pair from the demarc box to inside the house and that corrected the strange readings. I had initally requested 1.5Mb/768Kb service but we had to set it at 1.5Mb/387Mb due to the loop length and they reduced the price per month as a result. The equipment we are using is an Innoband DSL modem model 8012-G1 and we have had service from Interlync now for 3 months and I have to say it has been rock solid. Interlync provides an app in the App Store for the iPhone that lets you view your current invoice, make a payment, open a trouble ticket with Tech Support, perform a Service Availibility check, email customer service, and to view their posted maintenance schedule all from your iPhone. I can't say enough about Interlync's customer service reps who have always been courteous when I have called and to their sales reps when I was calling and emailing while trying to make up my mind to switch back to a DSL line. I originally had DSL service with IBS back before NorthPoint went under and when that whole debacle occured in March of 2001 I switched to cable Internet service with AT&T @Home service which was pretty good. Then AT&T sold to Charter and then Charter sold us to WaveBroadband. I have been using DSLReports.com for many years (well over 10) but never had anything that I really wanted to say and couldn't remember my original account login so I had to create a new account to post this review of Interlync. member for 14.3 years, driveby review (so far) updated 14.3 years ago
I shopped around for DSL, and I knew what my friends had -- and all the trouble they had, constantly. I looked at Earthlink, Pacific Bell (god, I'm old -- that doesn't exist anymore!) and a few others. I read the reviews on this site and a few others and saw that there were few complaints about Interlync, so I called and signed up. I got the stuff in the mail a few days later, hooked myself up and after one call to tech to work out a few kinks where I actually got a REAL person...we were up and running. And I'm NOT a computer person. I'm not as bad as the the guy who thought the CD drive was the cup holder, and the mouse was the foot pedal, but I am barely computer literate. I am, however, cheap. I wasn't going to pay someone to install broadband. The most wonderful thing about Interlync -- the few times I've had problems (and there really hasn't been many -- we're talking less than one problem a year!) I've talked to the same guy except once. He knows me! And he also knows about how little or much I know about computers so he explains things so I can understand, without talking down to me. It's wonderful to have a relationship with person at a internet company that can seem so faceless. (review was emailed from domain interlync.com) lodged 14.3 years ago
I was with Comcast for years and fought constantly with them about signal strength. Interlync is friendly and easy to deal with - when I call I get to talk with a REAL PERSON. Speeds aren't what I hoped for due to my distance from CO but that is hardly the ISP's fault. member for 24.1 years, 168 visits, last login: 2.9 years ago lodged 16.2 years ago

my previous dsl provider went bust - needed a replacement quickly: I did research here on dslreports.com, found choices available to me in 60004 zip code; one of them was Interlync.com ... sent 'm email, received info and instructions in the middle of an evening; all was accomplished in 6 easy steps: 1) ordered ameritech line 2) selected connection package 3) confirmed selected package via emai, paid via credit card; 4) the equipment was ordered 5) the router arrived - ameritech line was ready 6) took approx. 20mins to hook it up and I was online - each computer with its own IP number The connection is stable (for 1 week now) - minor problems are taken care of. Email setup and other details no problems either. Now - I hope Kevin is a real person - just kidding he must be human - I'd recognize a computer generated voice ) member for 21 years, 25 visits, last login: 20.6 years ago lodged 20.9 years ago
I have been with Interlync since they started. I have only had dial-up until recently due to SBC and the games they play but for a dial-up service I think in all the years I have never gotten a "busy" signal or lost a connection. It has always been reliable and fast. I have always connected at the best possible speeds. It's funny because I have had to use a different dial-up service for work and the speeds are nothing compared to Interlync. Now I have IDSL and I had many choices to choose from for service. Some were less expensive but I know that if I have any problems I can rely on this ISP. I would recommend them to anyone. If you can get DSL and want a better ISP then say oh SBC or you just need a better dial-up service give these guys a call, you won't regret it! Interlync.com has provided me with the greatest service for over 4 years now. While our associates were dropped from there - out of business providers, Interlync stayed strong. Now we all use Interlync! member for 21.6 years, 275 visits, last login: 3.9 years ago updated 21.4 years ago
