Overall the speed and uptime of TransEdge is excellent. It is very very rare that we have trouble. Recent TransEdge had a small billing snafu with our accounts, and disconnected us. Being a hosting company, this is unacceptable. A call to a polite and helpful support person got us moved to the top of the list for reconnection. The support person was fast, knowledgable, and courteous. I was very pleasant to her, and she returned in kind.

I feel sorry for you if you have to wait on Qwest like we did...3 times those morons had to come out to re-do their re-did mess.
transedge was always on top of things, and I have not had a problem with the line once the kinks were worked out.
can't ask for any more than that!

To Whom it May Concern,
Gold's Gym has been a customer of New Edge for the past 2+ years, and as far as the service goes, the experience has been great. The hardware has been reliable, with the exception of one location because of outside circumstances relating to a move order.
The thing that needs to be made clear is that every business needs to know their agent really well. If you are dealing with somebody that makes commission on the sale of New Edge Network services, you need to make clear your needs. What Gold's Gym has found is that some of the services or features purchased were a waste of funds. They were sold on the basis of the Agent not knowing his customer. What happens far more than it should is that the business is clueless of all facets that are required. This gives the Agent a potential to sell up sell, or sell features that add more to the bottom line, based on understanding. What the business needs to do is be up front with the Agent and ask more of the questions like, "Can I do without this service, do I really need this feature, and can you itemize the features I am paying for?" These questions can create a stronger loyalty with business customers and help retention.
Last make sure that your Agent is willing to take the blame sometime, instead of passing it onto the company that feeds him/her. This gets the relationship with the provider such as New Edge Networks off to a bad start.
Thank you for your time and it must be shared that there are some really empathetic folks with New Edge Networks that really are sincere and want to help you understand. If you are ever in question about something, you need to bypass the Agent and just ask New Edge for clarification.
Cheers,
Daniel Gold's Gym Albany, Keizer, and Salem, OR 541-917-3488, 503-390-4653, 391-5438

Problem with lines was fixed. Called tech support and then they sent me to TAC...it was a long hold and I was on my personal phone and not at work, so i hung up.
checked the lines and hour and a half later, and they were back on swing.
Support called me a few days later about it, told them it's all and well. ___________________________________________________________ 5-05-04
Had an outage, which seemed like it afffected this area. I also have a Qwest line here in town that had a blip at the same time..coincidence?

New Edge Networks has developed into very well-rounded company. We currently have over 20 locations using their services. When there is down-time they are quick to respond and fix the problems in a timely manner. Their customer service and support staff does an effective job both on the phone and in person. I have no reservations when I say that I would recommend New Edge Networks to anyone who wanted a solid DSL solution.

To whom it may concern:
This letter is in regards to Customer Service Representative Tracy Knouse with TransEdge. On March 23, 2004 our ability to transmit e-mails and our web site had went down with our old carrier. I knew that we had an account with TransEdge and was very lucky to get a CS Representative as great as Tracey to help me out. With her help, going above a beyond to help our company, we were up and running within 2 days. Whenever I had a question, she was always there to help and direct me in the direction I needed to go. She pulled contracts, added accounts, helped me set up new email addresses, and made sure that we were able to keep our current e-mail addresses. I was most pleased with the follow ups that she did, just to make sure everything was running smoothly.
I couldn't help but rave to the President & Controller of our company about how great Tracey was and still is with helping us with any questions we have had recently and in the past. Her warm and energetic personality always made me feel that I made a right decision switching to TransEdge to serve our web site and carry our e-mail accounts. If I had to judge Tracey on a scale ranking from 1 being the worst and 10 being the Best of the Best, I would most definitely rank Tracey at a 10.
I would like to thank you for your time in reading my review for Tracey, she definitely is a Fantastic CS Representative.
