After a one year nightmare with Pacbell/sbc Yahoo and then a month with DSL Extreme, during which the service was unavailable for almost two weeks, Lightning Bolt has been the greatest relief you could imagine. The icing on the cake is that it is at least twice as fast as either SBC or DSL extreme.
I have now been with LB for three months. I have been up and running every minute of that time. I have never experienced any delays of any kind. There have been no glitches. Installation was simple and fast and, believe it or not, the day after I installed I received a call from THEM, informing me that they had made note of my install and, in monitoring the service, had decided that I required a little fine tuning. They asked me to give them an hour to set it straight.
You couldn't want a better service. I am now free of SBC; I am on a router, not a modem, and I have never had to wait more than a few minutes to get questions answered. LB Tech really is a top notch ISP. I've had nothing but excellent experiences with their staff on the few occasions that I've had to deal directly with them. Up time is phenomenal, billing is easy, and show stopping problems are unheard of. I highly recommend LB Tech to anyone and everyone searching for a reliable ISP.

I have nothing but good things to say about Lightning Bolt DSL! The first thing that really impressed me was that I ordered my DSL on a friday evening, and it was up and running the next Friday morning. It would have been up even earlier (thursday) but the covad tech was held up (fixing a T-1). LB DSL was in contact with Covad when they realized that the instal hadn't gone through, and they arranged for an install the next morning, AND cut my professional install bill in half!
Then, when the DSL was installed on Friday, the technician claimed there was a problem with the card in the DSLAM, and that it would have to be switched out, which would probably happen on Saturday. However, LB DSL called me about an hour or two after the tech had left, said that he had diagnosed the problem as being related to my new IP, but that he had been monitoring the problem and that my DSL should be working. I reset the modem, and it was up!
There are several phone calls that I have left out of the email (since I forget the specific details), but LB DSL was in continuous contact with me before the DSL was installed. I also send back and forth probably 15 emails, figuring out which package was right for me and what could be given to my line given my distance to the CO.
I ordered the ADSL 1500/384 package, and have done lots of speedtests, and it is right on. The $70 price (with one static) is much better than anything Ameritech could give me. What is funny is that Ameritech had been calling up the house, trying to get us to switch. The "supervisor" who came on after the sales guy couldn't understand what I was asking allegded that my line couldn't support the pseeds offered by Covad, and that they couldn't even sell me their 1.5/256 package. Ha!

We placed our order on a Friday Afternoon and was up and surfing the net 6 business days later! Lightning Bolt Technologies, not onlys offers our DSL service but our Company Web Site hosting also. The tech support is great!. I would highly recommend them to anyone.
