APCi is a great small ISP with big ISP tools. I did not have any problems with the setup, nor have I had any problems with them since my dsl voyage started over a year ago. I have the 1.5/256 speed package and I get every bit of it. I don't get any major lag due to their network, unlike large ISP's. I have a static IP and 5 email addresses.

I sent my information via email, and received my conformation email within 24 hrs that the dsl process was on its way. A couple of days later, I stopped in to see their offices, and they handed me my equipment and I was on my way, in just under 7 days.

I have only had one outage, and that was due to the whole area was out of power due to some bad storms. Other than that, could not be any happier with the service and support. Let's hear it for the little guys!!

Seems a bit pricey

$110 seems a bit pricey for 1.5/256 w/1 static.

I thought about that but if the CLEC is SBC then he should have been able to get SBC. Then again he may not have wanted too from what he said.

Not just farmland

True, I could have gone with SBC, but it seems to me that they have quite a few problems here and there. I have not had any with my provider.
