I have had this Service for almost 2 years now. I'm lucky to be able to have DSL in this Area (Elysian Fields, Tx) but its not worth the money I pay to keep this service. As in another review, I too am a hardcore gamer and I have to deal with the inconsistant ping/latency issues or random drop offs. When you do a speed test on eastex.net for your connection speed, it gives you and around about speed or higher.
The speed is never on point and when you do speed test on other sites it gives you the proper results and you give eastex the feed back and they tell you its wrong. If you are looking for a very dependable broadband service do not choose this one unless you want to settle because its not dependable in the least.
Tech support continues to tell me that its my lines or my computers. I have 3 computers and they all do the same things. I don't understand what could make an ISP so bad for the prices that they charge.
Do not get eastex if you can avoid it and if there is another broadband service for the this area contact me and I'll be sure to get back with you.

I'm lucky to have DSL in my rual community, but the price I pay should at least give me decent speed and staiblity, I have neither! I pay $69.99 per month for DSL that I should be able to game with, but due to the flux it is nearly impossable I lag through the games and if you are a serious gamer this gets very old fast!Surfing the web is fair , but the random flux makes video and music streams very choppy as well.Web pages open like very fast dial-up
and the flux seem to cause my web browser to hang at times, but this could be a error with my browser.
The bottom line is that I'm lucky to have DSL in my area, but does that make me wrong for wanting what I pay for?I don't think its the office people I deal with they are the best, I think its bugs that have to be worked out in their system.
I'll be patient and see what happens, but for now this is my review.
P.S They are working with me to fix these issues.
