I went with Westwaves because there was no other broadband provider in the area at the time. They provided a decent bandwidth for the price and the installation and customer service is excellent. The problem I have is there are many service interruptions and during business hours there is incredibly reduced bandwidth. This is just another example of an ISP who oversold their available bandwidth. As I am writing this, I am getting about 24 kbps. I thought I left behind the days of the modem long ago, but residental customers are at the bottom of the totem pole for bandwidth.
I hope the service gets better and they get more bandwidth online, otherwise I will be switching to another provider as soon as one is available in the area.
Update: They seem to have taken care of the technical issues and my connection has been solid for a week now. Bandwidth also seems to be improved but I notice that on large downloads my speed is throttled down to about 200 kbps.
