I cant believe the bad reports I've been reading about Wiacomm in Scurry, TX. So far my experience has been great. It only took about a week to get the site survey done and another week to get the equipment installed. The installer was very friendly and on time for each appointment. My system has only been up for about two weeks and I have been checking the speed frequently. It seldom falls below 1200 both up and down. That is better than I was getting in Arlington, TX with DSL. Wiacomm has always returned my calls promptly. I play online games a lot and latency is not a problem. Those in Scurry that had a bad experience with Wiacomm need to give it another try. This internet service is even faster than the DSL at my place of business!!!

I have been trying to get service with Wiacomm since Nov of 2004..... Installers came out on 03/24..... Needless to say it is now June and all I have is equipment installed and still no service..... I have made numerous calls, emails, faxes, and so forth, but still no service... I would be happy if they just told me they could not provide service, but I can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone.

This has to be one the worst run businesses I have had the displeasure of working with in a long time. I understand a small business due to the fact I have owned one for seven years. I cannot begin to describe the lack of professionalism I have endured from these people. For an owner to run a business in this fashion is inexcusable. They give the WISP industry a bad name. I have unresolved billing issues, install issues, customer service issues, bandwidth issues, and the owner will not return repeated emails and phone calls. I believe most issues can be worked through if both parties are willing to work together, but this company is full of empty promises and outright lies. I suggest anyone considering this company for an ISP, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. The office personnel are rude, the technicians are uneducated, the owner is does not care about this business, the network is over saturated and the advertised speeds are lies. I have spent over a year and a half trying to work with this company at all levels and I am done.

Jeez. I've called these people a half-dozen times. Only got to speak to them twice. Both times they promised to call me back. I guess they really don't offer service in Warsaw as they say they do.
Does anyone know if there is REALLY wireless ISP available NOW in WARSAW, TX?
Judging by all the other bad reviews I see about this company, I guess they've done me a favor by not returning my calls. But WARSAW is BFE, and other than dial-up and satellite, I'm hard-pressed to find a provider. Can anyone help?

Back in September 2004 I messaged Wiacomm support several times regarding a decrease in speed which I have confirmed on numerous occasions using dslreports speed tests. Since September 2004 my Wiacomm connection has apparently been rate limited to approximately 120Kbps which is similar to dual channel ISDN throughput. Wiacomm support has ignored all emails I have sent regarding questions about the speed reduction. Wiacomm still represents on their web page www.wiacomm.net that their connection speeds are superior to DSL (note the attached clip from the Wiacomm FAQ). I have the Alvarion radio equpment and subscribe in Kaufman Co. I encourage other Wiacomm customers to visit www.dslreports.com and use the speed test tool to discover whether Wiacomm is providing the service as advertised. I have been a Wiacomm customer for approximately two years and enjoyed the high speed service for the first year. We were satisfied customers to the extent that we renewed service for a one year term. During our second year of service, as Wiacomm acquired more and more customers, the quality of service continued to deteriorate in terms of circuit throughput, delay and packet loss. The apparent rate limiting measure has stabilized the service quality in the sense that circuit delay is consistant and packet loss is minimal, but is it appropriate for Wiacomm to continue to represent their connection speeds as better than DSL and charge customers accordingly? We also have ISDN service provided by SBC. Using another internet service provider for multilink ISDN internet access we have found the ISDN performance to exceed the performance of our Wiacomm service in its present state. We will not renew our Wiacomm service when it expires.
Quote from Wiacomm.net FAQ: How fast is the connection? This depends on the technology used at your location. Wiacomm subscribers in Kaufman Co. and eastern Parker Co. (except Azle) connect through Alvarion radio equipment and can expect speeds from 500 kbps to 1.2 Mbps.

I am real pleased with Wiacomm.net. The have provided a huge boost in connectivity speed and reliability over what I had with Starband. I live out in the country and the wireless is just great! The service techs and customer service are friendly, helpful and quick to respond.

I cannot think of anything more that Wiacomm could do to make me happier. They have always responded quickly and efficiently to any issue that I have experienced. The speeds exceed all expectations and coming from a satellite isp, Wiacomm flies and the speeds are more consistent than satellite ever was.
Kudos and many thanks to Ronnie, Claudia, Cindy and all the Wiacomm staff!!!

I have been a customer for over a year now with Wiacomm. I am completely satisfied with the internet service, installation, and customer service. The people at Wiacomm are the friendliest people I have ever met, so I was really surprised to read the negative review about Paul. Paul has always been very responsive and patient in my experiences with him. It is difficult to picture him as described as being aggressive and violent as reported by another former Wiacomm user. I once mentioned to Claudia that the connection speed was slower at certain times during the day. Well the owner, Rod contacted me to find out more information and he immediately put me in touch with Paul, who spent several days running tests to isolate the problem. This is just one example of the many times these fine people have taken action above and beyond the industry standard for customer satisfaction.
I often use the service to connect to work via VPN and the connection quality is excellent. I have no problem recommending Wiacomm to anybody who is interesting in having a first class quality internet provider. Before you buy cable internet service in the Forney/Talty area, do yourself a favor by comparing Wiacomm to cable.

Wiacomm is the greatest find I've made in recent history! I have been a customer for almost two years now and am thrilled with every aspect of my experience with them. The installation crew was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and fast. The office staff is just as wonderful. I appreciate the fact that they know me by name and that I am not just a customer number to them. An amazing and most unusual occurrence in today's business community! They are always quick to assist in any of my concerns or questions. In all the severe storms we have had lately in the Ft. Worth area, I have not noticed that I lost my connection even once. A wireless connection is the only high speed choice where I live, but even if there numerous choices I would never switch! I have suggested Wiacomm to my neighbors and have heard nothing but excellent reports. I would recommend them highly!

"Sadley, the Only Option I had in my area."
"Violent & Abusive Installer(Paul), Constant down time & disconnected frequently"
"Would be scared for my family to let Installer Near my home ,ever again."

Installation started very slow. The office support was great with timely returned calls. I can not say the same for the service or installer. I work from home & relied on a constant connection but, Wiacomm was unable to provide that. At times I was down for days & of course no credit was ever given.
The NIGHTMARE began when I canceled service & told Installer (Paul) tobe here at 12:45 to pickup Equipment since, I had to pick up my 6 year old son at school prior. He showed up at 12:04, as I had walked out the door running late already. I told him I was running late & he would have to come back. Paul Refused, stating he is here now & will take the equipment NOW. I told him I would be back in 15 minutes, he started Cursing at me & continued to put the ladder up against my home. I told him I needed to pick my 6 year old son who was already waiting at school & I demanded he remove his ladder & he Van which was blocking me in & keeping from leaving. He continued to CURSE profusely & refused. I proceeded to remove the ladder myself & at that point he became OUT OF CONTROL, In RAGED with Anger & attempted to come at me to fight, he then turned, grabbed his ladder as if slamming it into my garage door & planters near by. Luckily his "partner" pulled him into their van & they left before I called the Police.
I then called the OWNER Rod Applegate who in fact stated & I quote "I know Paul does have a short Fuse". Which made me realize that I might not be the only customer Paul has confronted in this Violent & abusive manner.
If you have no choice but, to go with Wiacomm. Make sure to ask for another Installer & avoid having your own Nightmare.
