I tried to order DSL service from this company and was
told by their sales person that they provide service to
my area and he quoted me a price. However, he then tried
to sell me another service that was more than twice as
expensive. When I told them that I wanted the service I had
originally requested at the price that had originally been
offered to me, the supervisor (a friendly chap named Carl)
said that he wasn't really interested in providing that
service unless I wanted to pay a higher (unlisted) price
than what I had been quoted just a few minutes earlier because
he couldn't make enough money on it.
This is classic "bait and switch". They refused to sell me
the product that had been advertised and offered to me
just a few minutes earlier, and instead tried to get me
to go for something significantly more expensive which I
didn't want. BTW, there was no disclaimer about "prices
may vary in different regions". What a bunch of crooks!
My advice: stay far away from Austin Michael Internet Solutions.
If this is the way they try to sell their service, imagine
what they'll do to you once they get you hooked.
You have no problems for which they are the "solution".
