It was quick and easy to get it up and running.
It was not fully what I expected but the professional service from East Stratford Wireless was excellent.

I signed up with eswis.net last summer and have been very pleased so far. I have DirecTv and wanted high-speed internet access to go with it but installation costs for satelitte internet were almost $500. Cable company was also more money per month so I decided to try wireless. They came out in a couple days ( 2-3 I think) and installed my service. The antenna was the only thing that bothered me at 1st but it's small and I never notice it anymore. It works and the price is right so I'm happy.

(5/16/03) The pre-install/install process was picture perfect, couldn't've asked for a friendlier staff to work with. They are responsive to tech calls and will work to fix problems until they are fixed. Willing to go above and beyond, even making frequent house calls to diagnose at the source.
Throughput has been an issue, but is much improved over the initial signup. While the mail systems work great, no-frills means no newsfeed, so you'll have to outsource for extras. Static IPs are cheap and you're allowed to wire up multiple home PCs at no extra cost. There's also no contract term (how long you have to commit to), so you can back out at any time. If you stay, tho, there are discounts for quarterly payments.
This neighborhood can't get DSL, and Adelphia is the lowest-rated national cablemodem service, so the only local option for broadband is wireless, thus it's extremely convenient to have your ISP right in your neighborhood. Highly recommended for Stratford residents.
Update (10/4/03): Since the original review, a reliable newsfeed has been added and an email anti-virus filter was installed at the email server recently. The price has not increased and the benefits have only gone up. I'm very pleased with my experience.

fast, reliable, prompt service, etc.. no complaints here. i have a busy lifestyle and ESWIS worked around my schedule to meet me for survey and installation, etc. My internet got slow one time and I called them and they promptly came out (on my schedule) and got everything going blazing fast again. I would rather not EVER go back to a phone company or cable company service provider again.

I use this service when I work at home, and have great speeds. The support from the company has been the distinguishing factor. The owner had to actually rewire some wall outlets that the builder did not wire to code. He even fixed a badly crimped main phone connection to the house. He was able to come by the house several times and adjust the setup to get the best reception from the repeaters. The company has even added better T1 lines to the main service point and are adding more features to the service. My desktop PC did not have a network card - I bought that and then an antenna to receive the wireless signal. I ended up optionally buying an extra firewall-type piece of hardware for more security. There were occasional slowdowns in service, but the tech support that came with the deal is what made this whole thing work. When the service became a little slow, we retested signals and found that the particular repeater connection I was using was no longer the best choice, and we switched to the better one. With the additional users, the other repeater ended up working better.
Long story short - very happy with price, quality, speed up and down, and can use it for working at home and for other reasons. The communication from the company and support has been great. Very good deal.

Well I have been using ESWIS for a few months. Compared to dial-up blows AOL out of the water. Compared to the Local Cable Company......even worse. These guys are great; I can do so much work that needs to be done at home. Bill Pay, Office Projects and Research for school. I know you can do this with dial-up but it just isn't fun going that slow. These guys really communicate with there customers. That quality is really missing in many companies. They are Fast, Friendly and Affordable. The installation was pretty painless, wireless card and antenna (if needed). $45 dollars a month.............Bottom Line. Excellent Deal.
