Finally, after years of waiting for DSL, Cable modem, anything, to arrive in my area I have real broadband!! I was with Interlync with a IDSL connection. That was stable and better than dial-up but it was still slow (128/128) and not cheap. DLS wireless set-up camp so I called. It took them too long to respond so I went with a re-seller of DLS, Antioch Wireless Broadband. It took awhile to get them out to do the install but once they did it was smooth and since then I have never had a problem. We had some horrible wind and rain storms and I thought for sure I would have problems. Fortunately, there was no problems. After the install I was getting speeds from 800/1200 to 2000/2500. Then a month later I get notified of an upgrade made to the tower and I start getting speeds up to 3500!!! Wow! Show me a DSL or Cable modem provider that can do that! The trick is having line of sight to the tower luckily for me I have a pretty clean shot! I am very happy so far... Lets hope they keep it up.

I have been up for nearly a week now with Antioch Wireless Broadband in Gurnee. I was eagerly awaiting the tower to go live, and once it did I was immediately scheduled for an install. The installer came to my house and worked with me to find a good place for the CPE on my roof. The hardware was much smaller than I had imagined and the installer was able to run the cables down into my attick to reduce the visibility. If you go to the Antioch Wireless Broadband website there are pictures of my install.
I have been consistently getting 1300+/1300+ download and upload speeds (see speed test archive for zip 60031) with no issues, even in the past week with our horrible weather (rain, snow, fog, etc). My wife believes lightning may have hit the CPE once when I wasn't at the house during the lightning storm. My connection stayed up and everything was fine when I arrive home.
I run a webserver, db server, email server, etc. on my line and have not had any real problems from latency and ping times. I use Vonage VoIP as well without issues.
I have heard from Antioch Wireless Broadband that the tower will be soon going 10 mbit, which will definitely be worth the $$$. Right now I have the 10 mbit equipment, so all I'm waiting for is the tower to get some more juice.
My install uses PPPoE from a router that comes with the business service, although the initial install was setup fora PPPoE connect from my direclty connected Windows XP PC. It does take a minute or so for the router to connect and fully configure itself for the static IP. I would say this is the routers fault, since it was almost instantaneous in Windows XP. I have yet to be dropped from my PPPoE connection, so I'd say it was very reliable.
Overall I'd recommend the service for anyone in Gurnee, Grayslake, Antioch, etc. who is sick of dialup and the Comcapped cable modems. Its quick and easy to get up and running way up in the north suburbs.
Update: The Lake Villa tower has been in the process of the upgrade. Right now I have been told there are 2 - T1's hooked up. I am now able to achieve around 2300/2300 speeds on the speed tests, check the speed test archive for zip 60031. Latency is not bad, I haven't run into any real issues. See the below results.

The connection has been fairly reliable over the past month. There was one issue where snow collected on the tower and I was receiving slower than normal speeds. I called support and they resolved the issue within 1 minute by increasing the signal strength.
Overall I'd say the support is excellent, the people I spoke to were very helpful and sounded like they knew what they were doing.
