Great customer service, wait time for call is almost zero. Tech really know what he is doing. Been with them for 5 years. There are occasion when you need to reset the router but there is a device out there that does this automatically. Only experience two or three downtime which last for a night in the last 5 years due to severe storms. member for 16.2 years, 5 visits, last login: 9.9 years ago updated 9.9 years ago
Well I finally took the broadband plunge. I signed-up for residential level one service with Advanced Stream, one of the three ISPs that use our municipal cable network, Click!. Level one service is offered at 1M/128kbps; I am getting between 900kbps and 1.4Mbps down and 168kbps to 190 kbps up. Average ping is about 69 msec. At 29.95 per month, Click! Internet through Advanced Stream use to be an outrageous value when the caps were set at up to 2 Mbps/256kbps. However with the reduction is speed on March 11 I would have to rate level one service as being an excellent value. I know we're spoiled. BTW, cable TV is NOT REQUIRED to get the $29.95 per month price. Well it's been a few years now. The tier one service seems to be stuck with no increase in speed for the last several years, while the other service levels have enjoyed a couple of speed increases thanks to the Comcast competition raising their service speeds. For the most part, the connection has been reliable, with only a couple of outages this year. Customer service is OK as long as you call during regular business hours. If you need service after hours, then you're out of luck, even though the service agreement that I've seen between the ISP and Click! requires the ISP to have 24 hour customer service. Apparently Click! does not enforce the contract. At about 30 bucks, they are barely cheaper then Qwest. If this ISP raises their price, I think I'll move to Qwest. Update August 2008 Received new speed increases and price increase. Currently set at 3Mbps/256kbps. Price for service is now $32.95 per month. Service works pretty well. Upload speed in this day and age should be increased to at least 1Mbps. Since you don't need cable TV to get Internet service I'm still with them. Update August 2012. Received new speed increase with no price increase yet. Still $32.95 per month. Currently, 6Mbps/1Mbps The Click!Network is now Docsis 3.0 with a top speed of 100Mbps/10Mbps. member for 22.9 years, 3751 visits, last login: 11.6 years ago updated 11.6 years ago
Most people just go with the standard Comcast option, which is decent, but do some research and get your internet through Advanced Stream with Click. We had no service interruptions in the entire time (12 months) that we used it. Speeds are fast, never even had to contact customer support. So nice to see an ISP that actually knows what they're doing. member for 14.6 years, 1 visits, last login: 13.6 years ago lodged 14.6 years ago
Excellent connection. Great high speed alternative to comcast. When switching addresses they installed my new data line for free. Great support. member for 16.4 years, 2 visits, last login: 8.2 years ago lodged 15.7 years ago
I was an @Home/ATTBI customer who was very dis-satisified with AT&T. I've had Click/Advanced Stream now for about 4 years and it's been great. The few technical problems I've had, they've worked hard to resolve. I have the top tier service, and it's pretty consistently testing at over 8 mb/s down and about 800 kb/s up or there abouts, with a good low latency (usually around 10ms to the gateway). I'm hoping they show some vision in implementing 2 Mb/s upstream service to compete with Comcast. I still think it's a better deal that Comcast - which is presently the only other cable alternative here in Tacoma. Click itself is monolithic and rather unimaginative - hey it's a government agency (can't expect much), but I'm hoping they'll eventually overcome that and offer some good packages targeted to enthusiasts - like a 16 mb/s down, 5 mb/s up package. I'd recommend Advanced Stream and Click! to anyone. I can't imagine why anyone in the greater Tacoma area would have anything else! Update as of 4-1-8 Click remains a good solid product. I have no issues. I just hope they match whatever upgrade is coming soon from Comcast (15/2? 30/5? whatever..)... member for 22.7 years, 3080 visits, last login: 15.8 years ago updated 16 years ago
I gotta say they are really down to earth and my kind of folks... I called in to ask about the prices, and they really took the time to explain it to me. I Love the customer support and the hands on installation. The price is the best too.. I had a problem with my old computer and they fixed the it somehow (installer was named Chad).... ask for Chris in sales, to get the best deal. Tell him you want that "Low Price guarentee". My friend told me to do that, and he was right.. I got the whole instal for $49 including the modem... and Chad fixed my puter and set up my deal really great! And thier commercials are hilarious... love that Harmonious guy with the cows and the elephants .... (hope his Dad gets a cable modem).... I have been more than satisfied with this service. Uptimes are great, speeds are about near advertised and the selection of speeds you get are great. My only beef is customer service hours. If you work late and/or on the weekends you will find it VERY frustrating to get things done, i.e. make bill paying arrangements, upgrading or downgrading service etc... Great value and I would feel confident reccomending Advanced Stream to anyone. Would be a perfect deal if customer service hours extended later in the evening and/or to Sundays. member for 17.5 years, driveby review (so far) lodged 17.5 years ago

I am a former Comcast/ATTBI/@Home member and sprung for the internal internet cable system provided by the city of Tacoma Washington Click!. So far I can say I am pleasantly surprised. I have been attaining speeds of 1200 down with no problem. Setup was a breeze plugged in my modem, uplinked to router, plugged wireless ap and I was surfing. And the price is a very reasonable 27.95 a month flat fee paid every six month in 6 month chunks. Setup cost was 10 dollars to have the accounts established and the line activated (I own all my own equipment) so no onsite was needed. Pros: price, ease of setup, support local service not giant conglomerate, respectable speeds and service follow up. Cons: Tech support only available in limited hours not 24/7.
