Fairly quick burst speeds.
Outages and horrible sustained speeds.
Don't get wireless unless you have to.

This is my 2nd wireless provider. Skyblue was horrible and had outages non-stop. Syptec scheduled appointments for an install and never showed and never returned calls. Readytek finally waived most of their fee and installed the dish after repeated emails about competitors prices.

Their support staff is beyond rude. I contacted them about their outages over a weekend and after 30 minutes of the technician not listening to me and talking down to me (keep in mind I have a Computer Science degree and work for Dell) he finally said that a cable broke loose on their tower in Bountiful. UGH! Come on!

The problem was fixed and the speeds were 2.5megabit (burstable) for a few days then they back to normal and my downloads topping off at 20-30K. That's pathetic.

Service is reliable and staff responsive and polite

Previous posting does not agree with experience in this area by myself and several neighbors with the service.

Sustained speeds have been very good. I use the service all day long for voice and several bandwidth-hungry applications.

Service has stayed up through most storms, snowfall, high winds, etc.. When it has gone down, Tech Support has been very responsive and generally aware of the issue already. As I am on the service all day, I notice drops right away, so clearly their alerting systems are working well.

The representatives I have spoken to both from Sales and Tech Support have been very polite.

I came from an area with wired broadband service, and was very skeptical of wireless. I have been very impressed with ReadyTek's service. I've been on it for 2 years now and would recommend it to anyone in their coverage area.
