Total care and very strong connection.
Don't believe anything I say, if you subscribe we may end up competing for bandwidth.
Strong dependable AMC6 connection with very friendly and dedicated service.

I am a recent subscriber to the Mach 10 satellite service. They are a reseller of ISAT one-way service. I am connected via the AMC 6 satellite which for me in north central US is way way stronger than their SatMex5 satellite and that of another service I left because of a very poor signal from that satellite.

I am very satisfied with their efforts to get me up and going, not an easy task since I had some hardware problems from my existing system and also some software problems outside of their product. They hung in and worked with me for about a month until I was able to get things straight. They did not require me to buy their equipment, but in the end it was helpful when I did purchase a B2C2 card and different LNB. The setup with a B2C2 card was very easy, however my PentaValue card worked as well.

The ISAT RUP is a really big hammer, there is some hope that will be modified soon along with other improvements to bring push email, etc.

The service plans are tailored to meet many demands and price is scaled to match. The cost of one-way and a phone line may be comparable to two-way, but I would rather have the land line option when conditions require it.

If you are looking for big name, cold, uncaring, know nothing, 24/7 service from India this is not the provider for you!

hmm

1.5 is a good download. The 56kbps is crap. I would not recommend Sat. to anyone myself due to the fact that you can't upload. If you can't upload you can't game. Perhaps it's good for downloading only..

Re: hmm

i don't know how you can say theres no upload, if there was no upload, you would not be able to download, because your computer would not be able to communicate with server, DUH.

I'm sorry but...

What's the point of getting broadband if you can't use it? The cap limits on this service is a joke. 300mb a month!?!? yeh right i go through 800mb a DAY. You could clear 300mb a month easily just from going to file planet one day....

While your rates are highly attractive in a metrpolitan area with very good infrastructure for cable, competition is not like that outside of most metro areas. Not everyone ha access to cable. Not everyone has a decent landline to upload via sattelite. Just keep that in mind beofore you brag next time.

FAP is pretty nasty

said by Reviewer:

...No MB accounting...

Not quite. The fair access policy is VERY nasty and throttling comes fast and furious.

See this thread »Review of Mach10 Internet Service by q_gamelogic

Anyone looking to settle on DRS should really investigate alternative services and their Fair Access Policies before signing with any DRS provider.

You have RUP!

The RUP prevents the network from being congested by a handful of end-user’s activities. End-users that maintain an average daily usage of up to 16 MB per day should not notice any throughput limitation.

Too bad you didn't do your homework.

Absolutely NONE
It’s among its competitors the best thing you can find. Service wise and tech support wise.

Hello everyone,

I happen to be a customer of mach10 for over 1 year now ... has never gone offline since it has been put on (unless it’s my pc's fault or I did something stupid).
I also have to say that every time I had a problem Tom (the owner of the company himself... yes that’s right) he helps me on the fly ... he’s always reachable ... knows what’s wrong and how I should fix it instantly.

I would pretty much bet that this service has the best possible tech support ever. Not that it needs it ... but ”I” sure need it! As I often mess my stuff up

Speed wise this service is pretty reasonable ... its not as fast as i would like it ... I would like 2 mbits.s heheh .. (Who wouldn't?) But I have to say speeds are definitely as advertised,,,, very stable speeds ... and for $39.95 its a speed i can live with .. Far better then anything else out there that is either slower or more expensive.

How odd that I asked two of my customers to please post a review once I got the Ok from dsl reports to create a listing on their web site. Right after I created that listing, they were happy to post a review for me.
There were even happy to register on dsl reports only for the specific reason of posting a review for me. I thought that's how it works, I help out my customers the best way possible and in return when I need their help, they are happy to lend a hand.

What about the RUP?

I don't think the new customers will be very happy after they get a dose of RUP. So do they get 30 days to hang themselves before it kicks in?

No spam ... you can contact me and ill verify.. (I can prove im not even in the US HAH) ... to some ppl that cant get broadband by cable , or land based connections like the ones that are available to me ... are crap .. this is the only way out .. ...

Now only way out .. And still crappy?? no thank you ,,, I have tested them all .. and they are by far allot worse .. IM not PRO for RUP ... I don’t like it much.. but if not for the RUP .. speeds would be crappy like the rest ...
That’s why direcpc has RUP , only thing is direcpc you cant get where im at (on the globe) , have to sign contract etc or whatever.

Might YOU NOT BE FROM *OTHER* nasty company trying to throw some dirt on this … as usual ?

hahhaa

This does look like spam... LOL. and what is with the 300mb per month cap on the page in fine print is this a joke? How can you get 'personal' support from an owner named Tom, is everyone in your tech support named 'Tom' Laugh. I'm a user of direcway internet and It has been solid for the most part except in very bad weather, which I can deal with because I know how this technology works. But in your claim that your service has never been out I don't find this possible there is always bad weather over your house or the NOC at some time or another...

Mach10 does provide good Customer Service

I do not have Mach10's Satellite service but I use to have their ISDN service until I got cable in my town. I was going to switch to the satellite service when it was available.

I was very impressed with how they handled customer service and resolved the few ISDN problems I did have immediately. A small operation, but they do give meaning to the term "Customer Service". A rare thing today.

Ouch...and I thought DirecPC's FAP was bad

said by MACH10 Fine Print:
»www.mach10internet.com/S ··· trup.htm

Users averaging up to 16 MB per day will receive service at up to 400 Kbps; those averaging between 16 and 33 MB per day will be limited to 300 Kbps speeds. End-users that average between 33 and 50 MB per day will be limited to 200 Kbps and those that average between 50 and 83 MB will be limited to 100 Kbps. End-users that exceed an average of 83 MB per day will be restricted to 64 Kbps until the 31st day after their average usage drops to a lower level. Please note that our studies show that the average end-user downloads an average of 11 MB per day.

DPC just throttles you for a few hours if you DL more than 170MB over a couple of hours (45kbps recovery rate). AOL/DPC (while the AOL clients is lame) has no FAP at all.

Just seems a bit harsh to me and other sat providers should be looked into before signing with these guys.
