I have used Hypersurf to provide services for two start up companies that I've been the technical adviser to in the past year. Hypersurf's responsiveness, reliability, and quality has been excellent. Installation has been smooth and support is tremendous.

$40 per month about 3 days AT&T "Static IP with self install, Value, Great Tech Service, NOT AT&T" "none" "Give them a look"

We needed a static IP in the Home Office. AT&T would only change our existing DSL to static if we switched to a business account. New static Small Business service requires a Tech install for $250 and a minimum 1yr contract. It took over one hour on hold to get this information and three hand-offs. I starting looking for other options.
I found Hypersurf from a WEB search and couldn't believe their deal. I called and a real Tech immediately answered the call and explained our options. He was able to check our lines and validate the expected service. Three days later the ISP transfer was complete, we have one bridged static to their network (NOT AT&T's fake static), 6Mbps / 768Kbps and all for the same cost as my old slower dynamic service. The $40/mo. is a one year promotional price with no contract. One call and they helped me configure my modem and verified everything was working.
We couldn't be happier with the service and support from Hypersurf!

AT&T "Connection Reliability, Speed, Customer Service" "Highly Recommended"

I have been a customer of Hypersurf Internet for several years now. I must say, I have never once had any problems with my emails, my internet service or even waiting for any or all upgrades I have had. As far as the customer service part of it, whenever I have had a questions or concern about something it was either handled right over the phone or if I called in after hours and left a VM, I received a return call the following day. The provided equipment works fine and have never had any issues at all. I liked the service so much I now have my parents and in-laws using it as well. I recently requested my line to be faster and although it was delayed due to the phone company upgrading the lines outside, Hypersurf completed their part as soon as they were able to. Following the upgrade I am very pleased with my upgraded service and speed.

Ever since Hypersurf bought SurfCity, my DSL speeds has been very unreliable. Some days it is in the 2500s in the morning, than for no reason it drops to between 500 to 800kbps. Have been working with their support for over almost 2 weeks, still cannot find the problem. I have eliminated possibility of internal problems by using a different DSL modem (Sent by HyperSurf) and a notebook at the dmark (phone room of the building that only phone company and landlord has keys). Verizon says it is not the line. Hypersurf says it is not them, they have OC3. I am on the last straw with Hypersurf.

$50 per month Verizon (ex GTE) "I suppose it's a good service if you live in the Bay Area" "Intermittent service, support goes to voice mail" "They bought my ISP and now my service is crap"

I subscribed to SurfCity here in the Long Beach area, and I received an announcement HyperSurf had bought them out. I am profoundly dissatisfied with HyperSurf and would discourage anyone else from using them. The DSL connection is intermittent and nobody answers the support line.

Hypersurf has provided an excellent, un-interrupted, and fast Internet
service from Dial-up (when I first installed Internet on my PC) to Wireless over a period of eight years. I would definitely recommend Hypersurf as a very competitive DSL provider with high-quality and reliable service (no down time) for a decent price. Many thanks.

Getting set up on on DSL was easy. The connection is excellent and is cheaper than AT&T Internet by quite a bit.
I work extensively from home using teleconferencing, WebEx, VPN, and Outlook without any issues.
Hypersurf provides the connectivity and a simple Linksys router for home networking.

We've been a Hypersurf customer for 8 years. Their management and technical stuff are excellent and view your problems as their problems. They carry a full range of communication services and have an outstanding uptime record.
Bottom line can not go wrong by selecting them as your ISP.

I have been with accesscom.com since 1995 when I had just a dialup. They got bought by Hypersurf which got bought by bjt.net.
I have now a 1.5MB/380K DSL with 5 static ips through Pacbell/SBC for the last 4 years and it has been trouble free. With all the changes in their company their support has been always very good.
I have chosen them because I wanted a local ISP that give a Unix (really Linux) shell account where I could run my own spam filter (spamprobe) and provide a full news feed.
Part of the bad points is that they provide only by default 10MB on their server and a POP3 connection (no IMAP). But their system has provided problem free service all those years.

Became a HyperSurf customer via their acquisition of bjt.net. BJT was AWESOME. They had their equipment at above.net so you were right in the middle of everything. Very low latency, awesome bandwidth.
HyperSurf sends everything through their datacenter in Fremont, and their primary connection from there seems to be via Concentric (xo.net) thus the path is much worse than it was before. But there seems to be plenty of bandwidth. You're just hanging out on the side of the 'net instead of in the middle.
I had symetric 768 DSL via Covad. I ended up leaving this service because I didn't like HyperSurf's network configuration and because Covad's ATM network is getting congested and flaky lately.
This was a legacy offering, so I can't comment on their current offerings except that the staff they got along with the BJT acquisition are very good - on the business side and the tech support.
