Our DSL service is 1.5 mbps down and approximately 320 kbps up.
I had been a dial-up customer of KaplanTel.net's from 1996-2000, and again from 2001-present. We get our telephone service from their parent company, so when I found out that they had finally gotten DSL service out to us, I signed up immediately. We live about 12 miles from the central office, but have a substation less than 2 miles away.
I signed up at the main office in July 2003, and spoke to a knowledgeable technician who answered all my questions. I was told that it would take approximately 7 business days to get everything together and working. I signed up on a Friday, and by Tuesday, the lineman had our modem to us and hooked up.
So far, we have had no problems at all with our DSL service. If we ever have a problem, I can go to the office or call a technician and get friendly, fast service. I prefer to keep my money in the local economy, and KaplanTel.net allows me to do just that.
