I was quite hesitant to switch to Novus at first; eventually I decided to trial their NET 20 option ($19.99 for the first 12 months). For four days straight their ping and speedtest result were consistent throughout the testing phase.
Furthermore, it was easy - I called them up, they activated the service remotely, I plugged my router to the ethernet jack in my wall, did a speedtest to verify the results; done.
I just recently got the NET 40 - 40 Mbps download/10 Mbps upload for $90.00 (-$30; splitting with my friend) for 250GB. No equipment is required - just plug your computer or router to the wall and you're good to go (speedtest and pingtest images posted).
EDIT: Just upgraded to NET 100 - Speedtest posted.
So far no bad experience. Their customer service is honest, professional, and "easy to reach". By "easy to reach", I mean - you dial their number, press one digit to request the department, and that's it; after 3-10 rings they pick up and are ready to answer any questions - no music, no waiting for hours.
With Novus being FTTB, there doesn't seem to be any leakages in regards to operating costs. Their service/system is so efficient and reliable, that once they set you up, there should be no reason to ever call them back - everything just works; I had miss that feeling to be honest.
To know whether or not you have Novus, either go to their website and check availability by entering your building address or use this link, »www.vopenhouse.ca/blog/73/novus-···ce-area/ , to see if your building name is listed.
I STRONGLY recommend to go with Novus if you have the option to - instead of Telus or Shaw.

Contract price not specified. "Fast, always on, low latency" "Low cap, overage charges and TELUS peering" "Decent service if you are in the downtown area"

Ordered the NET SOHO 50 for $250/mo (6 dynamic IP addresses, 1 static IP address, and 500GB cap) on a Friday at 4PM, service was installed on the Monday.
Service has been reasonable, tech support is not the best and commonly makes errors, easy to get through to tech support so you don't have much of an issue.
Simple plug-and-play configuration, no modem needed just a wall jack.

$32 per month "Speed, Bandwidth, Newgroup speed/retension, Price" "None" "Solid ISP, beats all competition in local area"

Contrary to what most people have said, the limit is 30Gb per month (50Gb for buisiness). I have hardly had any problems with them, and the speed was always very good. The newsgroup access is actually oursourced to Giganews, and they have a limit of 8Gb of transfer from them (you don't get charged extra, it just cuts you off at 8Gb). There have been a few glitches in the connections, but they occur so rarely that you don't really notice them. The speed is quite good, and definately worth the price. The install involved them coming to my apartment and installing an RJ-45 jack in the wall.

$32 per month about 5 days "Fast and reliable" "10 GB limit" "Highly recommended if you can get it"

My speed test results after tweaking are about 7000 kbps down and 6000 up. No interruptions at all since I got their service couple of months ago.
I was with Shawcable before. No real complaints with Shaw, but Novus is much faster and better value for money.

$32 per month "high-speed fibre net connection up to 10Mbps allways on" "technical support is not 24 hrs" "This is the fastest internet one can get in the Vancouver area"

Advertised as 10Mbps high-speed fibre internet connection. I am getting 450-800KB/sec download speeds which is the fastest in the Vancouver area.
No aditional equipment is neccessary except the network card. As far as I know this service is available only on Concord Pacific and Yaletown areas in Downtown Vancouver.Price is CAN $32.50 (if bundled with their TV) or CAN $37.50 (alone)
I used to be with Telus ADSL., bad experience with a lot of headache and service interuption. I strongly recoment Novus if one can get their service.

$32 per month "Smokin FAST connection!!" "Absolutely NONE" "If you are able to get their service do not hesitate"

Install is super fast as every building they are available in is pre-wired for service... All you do is plug your computer directly into the rj45 jack in the wall, no modem, nothing. Speed is consistently above 7000 down 5000 up. Pretty decent hey? Pricing is only 32.50 a month when bundled with there cablevision package too.
