Barely better than dial-up.

I've been with Pioneer Wireless since 2007 and my connection has gotten worse every day since that first day. Right now, I lose connection just about every hour of the day.

Tech support, while "trying" to resolve the issue is basically throwing their hands in the air and blaming it on otherworldly interference (although it is clearly their equipment at the tower.)

On a good day, I see about 8-15% packet loss (when I actually can pull an IP address from the AP) and on what is becoming more of a normal day, I see around 50% packet loss and have to reboot their equipment anywhere from 10-20 times a day.

The internet crawls, email retrieval crawls and the worst part about it is there is nothing I can do to rectify the situation.

I get the impression that they are in no hurry to upgrade their equipment to better serve the area and with Fairpoint backing out on their wireless expansion and Time Warner still using the same cable endpoints they had in 1982 - Pioneer is the only game in town, besides satellite.

So I guess if you don't have another choice and have $45 to blow each month, Pioneer will allow you to surf the internet at times. Just make sure to have a good book handy to read while you wait for page loads...

Ok...

On one hand I understand your frustration with connection issues. BUT there is no way for you to know what the issue is. If they say it is interference - it is most likely interference. Don't call people out on something you don't know about. It just makes you look bad.
