    Calls are disconnected every 5 minutes. Incomming and outgoing.
    People complaints do not get attention by support. Silence.

    Stay away if your calls are longer then 5 minutes .......

    I seen in the VOIP form here how great these guys are, I wonder how many of these great reports are just trolls.

    I signed up with these jokers and deposited money in the account after about 2 weeks of the money not showing up I sent 2 support mails that went unanswered about the subject.

    So I visited their NAZI like controlled support forums, where if you say something they do not like, then they just delete your post and possibly delete your account by the looks of it.

    I seen one guy who questioned why his account was deleted and the responses where horrible, siding on very arrogant. Such as it's a free service if you do not like it go away or because we can delete your account etc.

    Then I seen other reports of people that kept losing their number. I knew right then this place was a total joke, between the attitudes of the moderators and admins to the business practices.

    My advice stay away from these guys, get a vbuzzer.com or a galaxyvoice.com free for life account with a true phone number that doesn't get deleted when the site feels like deleting it. Too many fish in the sea to put up with such lousy service!

    I'll miss my Stana Account ... (but certainly not STANA)

    UPDATE Jan 30, 2005

    Am giving up on my account. After more than two attempts at credit card charges, and over a month of waiting for STANA to re-validate my account from -DELETED- to "active", I have decided to give up and request my bank not to honor the charges made to this account. If they are willing to charge my account the day AFTER they 'DELETED' me, then I feel that I should get my money back (and I hope the bank sticks them with the chargeback (twice).

    UPDATE: Dec 24, 2004

    The saga continues ...

    After a few months of good service, and in due time, I had to increase the available funds to the account I was using. While trying to pay via credit card, I received an advise that the payment would require some clearing. Immediately, my account LOCKED UP! I couldnt make a call to any line except for 1-800 and stana support even though i still had $2.00 in the account.

    Two weeks later, with no response still from support, the two attempts I made to load finally cleared (or at least showed up in my account page), but the status is still deleted and I cant use the phone at all. What is worse is that this occured right before Xmas, just when I really needed to use it.

    Almost daily calls and emails to the support numbers/email did not result in any response whatsoever.

    When it was free, the service was OK and rarely failed.

    After a few months, I have had a number of callers say that the number is "not available" or "unreachable at the moment".

    For outgoing calls to the US and Canada, though, I find it a good value.

    OK, i have been in contact with support for over 15 hours. I did get my $5 credit after a 4 hour wait and me giving them my home phone number.

    I cant receive or make calls. But i can call toll free numbers. I can call my number (631 xxx xxxx) from other StanaPhone numbers , but all i get is a voice mail prompt to change my greeting??!?!.

    So I'm still kind of out right now.

    403 forbidden is all i get on x-lite and "Number not available" on the StanaPhone when i try to make any other call.

    I also cant receive ANY calls. When some one calls me they get nothing, its like the call never even starts.

    I have gotten a second number to test out my config in x-lite and that one can receive calls and call other StanaPhone numbers.

    This is very frustrating. I wish i could just get a new number and start over. And i feel like a dick for giving them my CC # , i now see the have had some problems with disappearing info. They worked great when the were 100% free, but now they seem to suck.
