ATT callvantage service was ordered on 09/01/2004, they shipped a D-Link VoIP gateway model DVG-1120M & setup for the whole system was very easy. I will review call quality after the first 30 to sixty calls.
11/20/2005 We changed our gateway from the D-link to the Linksys, much better gateway & more features to boot.
12/18/2004 The service is great no problems at all so far. Every now & then AT&T resets the gateway for some reason but once it is reset the service still works just great.
01/04/2005 AT&T Callvantage works just fine, voice quality is great & no need to check out another carrier very happy with AT&T.
01/06/2005 We added a 2nd line & no problems so far.
05/30/2005 Seems to work like a charm as long as Sprint BBD is acting right.
02/15/2006 AT&T Callvantage cancelled switched to Vonage

I ordered CV 2 weeks ago and the process was extremely smooth. My number was ported from Verizon 1 day earlier than expected so I was excited about that. This was to be a total POTS replacement for my house so reliability and quality were of the utmost importance for me. I looked at other providers but realized many issues users were having as I monitored the VoIP forums here. AT&T seemed like the obvious choice for me.
For the 1st 3 days, I experienced lots of degradation in bandwidth while on the phone but this was solved with one phone call to them. The CSR switched my bandwidth status from a 1 to 3 and that did the trick. I experience normal degradation now.
The features are great, especially the Do Not Disturb functionality. Furthermore, I used the conference functionality last night with 5 people (6 including me). I was able to surf with not that much of a noticeable difference.
I had to pay 10 bucks for the shipping of the TA. That was was the only other downside. I have effective cut my phone bill in half while adding really cool functionality!

No complaints at all about CallVantage. Ported my numbers from SBC in 5 business days. Rock solid with excellent quality. As far as we can tell, there has not been a second of downtime in our 2 months of service.
The service is more expensive then some of the others but it makes up for that with call quality and reliability. Rumor is a price drop is in the works sometime in the next month.
Terminal adapter should be able to be put behind the router in the next month as well.
