We ordered the 200Mbps with tv package costing £118 a month (expensive i think). Ordering the package was fairly simple after agreeing to their terms and conditions etc. only took 12 days thereafter too install and have us up and running. The engineers gave us the 'super hub 3' which i believe is made by Arris. Download/Upload speeds are very consistent and generally you are given higher than advertised (200= 213/260). customer service on the other hand can be a real pain too get hold of but once you get through they are generally very helpful. member for 3.9 years, 1 visits, last login: 3.8 years ago lodged 3.9 years ago
Always looking for fast and cheap Internet. I took the 25/10 Unlimited DSL FTTN Internet (50$ + tax). The Installation been quick and the tech been there at the setted period. Installed the included (rental) MODEM-Router in my office like asked. The Modem look like Bell's Home Hub 1000 a lot, instead that they call it "Steve". Wireless is good 802.11ac dual-band. Didn't have any problem with it. I heavily use Internet connection for Steaming on the Apple TV, or I do file transfer between computers. It's working as expected. It's easy to find deal at this price. Had good times with TekSavvy or Electronic Box. The perk is that the MODEM rental is included at the price. In around 6 months of service, didn't have to reboot the MODEM once! DSL reliability depends on how far you are from the central... member for 12.5 years, 57 visits, last login: 6.1 years ago updated 6.1 years ago
I have the fastest broadband speed available which is advertised as 200Mbps down. Had it installed a few years ago now, and there's only been a couple of outages. One recently lasted over 24 hours, but all in all we've had reliable service and connection. We started off with just Internet, and added TV later, with recent upgrades to the latest V6 Tivo boxes. member for 18.2 years, 10 visits, last login: 6.2 years ago lodged 6.2 years ago
Big Kahuna package gives good speed. Normally reliable though sometimes goes "AWOL" if the ISP does maintenance or has to fix a problem. Recent unreliable connection due to network cable damage in Croydon area seems to be fixed now and it is performing well again. Tech support has been good - they start by carrying out automated tests on both TV and Cable Modem Internet connections - so far any problems have been getting the service to the house. I'm currently having the TV set top box and cable modem upgraded (to 811.ac) after a couple of problems in the last month, the ISP suggested this and have waived any normal installation costs. Well done! member for 6.9 years, 6 visits, last login: 1.1 years ago updated 6.9 years ago
Vivid 300 internet only. No phone or TV services required. Install went smoothly. Engineer turned up when they should. Was informed by text when they would come and also on the day. Using their Hub 3.0 , but only in modem mode as it is very limited. I have my own ASUS RT-AC88U and very pleased with it. Virgin Media's cable network infrastructure seems to be dogged by "over-utilisation" , but I have NOT had any problems with speeds at all. I am very pleased. member for 7 years, 8 visits, last login: 6.8 years ago updated 7 years ago
Was using Telewest Broadband when they were taken over by Virgin Media, and most recently switched to their VIP50 package at ~£100 per month including unlimited UK calls and ~100 cable TV channels including some premium. Install was reasonably quick and painless but took several months for Virgin to deliver consistant speed of more than 30Mbps. Automatically upgraded to 100 and then 120Mbps service at no extra charge. Occasional problems with packet loss and massive speed losses sometimes cause gaming and VoIP problems, and technical support call centres based in Asia are frustrating, especially when the information they give is inaccurate or just plain wrong. A severed cable one winter caused complete loss of all services and no technician was sent for nine days. Overall experience and value is good but delays are frustrating when there is a problem. member for 10.9 years, 10 visits, last login: 9.6 years ago lodged 10.9 years ago
First wanted to go for BT.didn't have a phone line so would have to pay £120 connection fee(back in 2007).after an hour spend in telephone-cell finally girl on the other side asked for my bank details, then we've lost connection.any way Virgin connected me for free, got phone line and broadband with them.£29 a month unlimited download »www.speedtest.net/result ··· 1602.png arround10mb/s,and some free calls not exactly sure when.they ok,just once had the problem in the last 5years.broken my modem and had to wait 10days for new one.to be honest it was more courier's company foult(MyYodell-avoid them)-lady from Virgin send that on this same day, just the driver didn't know how to press the bell(10days),but it,s Virgin decision to use this company.but overall i am pleased with my provider member for 11.4 years, driveby review (so far) updated 11.4 years ago

I use the Mifi2000 to connect. The speed is always less than 300Mbs and usually more like 39Kbs. I started the service in December 2010. The device quit working February 2011 and tech support messed up delivery of a replacement 4 times. They would say it was on the way, but then no delivery. Talk to someone else same story...it's on the way! When my month runs out, so am I. , member for 13 years, 2 visits, last login: 13 years ago updated 13 years ago
UPDATE 23/12/2010 Now on the 100meg service and finally have a decent upload speed of 10meg The download mostly works at the advertised speed and the upload rattles along at about 9meg but I'm not complaining. Had the service fitted on Wednesday 15/12/2010 and it worked fine until last Monday when the Super Hub fell over, two engineers were out at my house within one and a half hours, swapped over the Hub and it still didn't work. Seems to be a problem with the new Super Hubs not getting a public IP address, a firmware update is on the cards as I'm not the only person that's had this problem. Talking about the Super Hub, I hate it as I'm stuck with it as it contains both the cable modem and router in one box. I'd rather choose my own router more tailored to my specific needs. After the install neither my slingbox or any of my VOIP adapters worked even after setting up the port forwarding on the hub, took me five days and a lot of poking around to get them up and running. Otherwise, the service rocks !! 50meg (53,000Kb/s down , 1,750Kb/s up) rocks, and at 9 quid more than I was paying for the 20Meg** service and with installation cut from 50 to 35 quid and a free N-series (WNR2000) router and N-series USB laptop adaptor thrown in for free, who could complain! Also currently no throttling after so many GB download/upload on this service!! ** the price also includes the HD V+box on the XL package and telephone service with 24/7 free local and long distance and reduced rate mobile(cell) & international calls. I've converted 69 quid to the $ rate as $103. You can see the speed test results below by clicking on the image to enlarge it . Paul.
