We have been customers of Velociter Wireless for many years. There have been some "tech" bumps along the way, but to their credit, when problems arose, even when the tech staff couldn't find a solution, they at least tried. At the time we chose Velociter we did not have access to other high-speed internet. The service was a good option for us, plus we liked the idea of supporting a small, local company.

With the new wifi technologies available, Velociter seems a little old school. We were required to purchase a "wireless router" but ended up with wires everywhere, including running down the side of our house.

A few cautions about Velociter: dealing with the office staff can be very unpleasant. Our service was suspended due to an error on the part of Velociter. It took two months and several telephone calls to our bank and Velociter to rectify the problem. When I called Velociter I was basically told that their billing and suspension processes are automated and that there was nothing the office staff could do to intervene. I was further told that they have over 1300 accounts and didn't have time to monitor each one. We thought that we would get better customer service dealing with a small company, but that hasn't turned out to be true.

I have been using this service for 5 years now and I have no complaints. I live out in the country, which means that no other service is available. Since I need to have a web server for sharing my files to other people, I love having a static IP. Did I mention a fast service? It is fast! I am getting a 3.2 Mb downstream and upstream. I am uploading at 3.2 Mb/s!!! Anyway, for people out in the country I highly recommend this service for speed, service, and reliability!
