I ordered the SpeedCable 60/250 GB package for $54.95/month, and bought the Thomson DCM475 DOCSIS 3.0 modem.
Pre-sales contact with customer support was excellent. They were incredibly friendly and answered all of my questions in a timely manner.
My only complaint thus far was with the installation. I was told that the Videotron technician would be by between 08:00 and 17:00 to install. The Videotron technician didn't show up until 16:00, which meant I ended up having to take an entire day off work for the install. He was also not aware that I already had Videotron digital cable, and almost deactivated my cable service.
Once the connection was activated, my first speed test yielded a download speed of 62.6 Mb/s, and an upload speed of 3.2 Mb/s. The only problem now is my wireless N modem doesn't deliver enough throughput to match the speed of my cable connection. I highly recommend Electronic Box!

$54 per month about 6 days "Great price, good service" "still have to find one" "One of the best cable ISP in quebec"
| Pre Sales information: Install Co-ordination: Connection reliability: Tech Support: Services: Value for money: (ratings match consensus)

The price is unbeatable, for here I live (Quecbec, Canada)
The technical support is great and they have a presence here at DSLR
The installation has been sooner than expected.
The speed is really what they advertise (60mbps / 3mbps) Far from the UP TO from the outdated Bell Network.
I had an independant instalator who's is Videotron affiliated. The work has been professional and everything was great. I have nothing bad to say about him.
I have buy a DCM475 and gone to the ISP Office to get it. something I maid for the last time in 1994
They only offer 250gb. something like 350-400 would have been great, but this is still the best offer on the market.
This is an upgrade from my Teksavvy connection. Hope they won't become Teksavvy 2.0

 | | 300 Mb or average Yes, my only concern with EB is 250 G cap. If they rasise it to 300-350 or average 2-3 months, then it would be great, and I jump in right away. | |

$54 per month about 14 days "Price & Speed & Quota" "Took more than one call to get all info, installation date is somewhat hard to obtain" "If you are looking for good and cheap cable Internet, this is a no brainer"
| Pre Sales information: Install Co-ordination: Connection reliability: Tech Support: Services: Value for money: (ratings match consensus)

Since I hate to have to check my quota every week, I switched from Videotron TGV 15 to TekSavvy DSL 7Mb/s for some months. I was really happy with them, since I got a good service and a 300GB quota everymonth. But since ElectronicBox changed their price, and I like the speed of cable, I've decided to switch again.
So I've gone with a high speed Internet 60Mb/s download\3Mb/s upload. I must say that for now, speedtest and pingtest tell me that I've got for what I'm paying for. That package is around 55$/month with a 250 GB quota.
I had to buy a Thomson DCM475 DocSIS 3.0 Modem at 99$. You can use your own modem compatible with Videotron network, but they are charging 20$ for install, so I opted for simplicity.
There was a 50$ installation charge, and you have to pay the first month.
Then, I wanted to schedule install for February 7th. The girl at the Box told me that they can't know for sure install date because Videotron tell them like 1 or 2 day before the install. But I was lucky, and they called me 2 days prior to install that Videotron would come. Videotron came and just checked the cable. I had to install my modem myself. First, the MODEM didn't synchronize, but after calling ElectronicBox, they tell me that I have to wait for the Videotron Tech to close his call, which happened 2 hours after the installation.
I had to call back to get my Videotron ID to check the quota and get an e-mail address. I would have preferred that those stuff would be sent to me by E-mail. It may be my only complaints. I think ElectronicBox should send more info by E-Mail, maybe a template or something.
BUT, the internet is very very fast, and for now, reliable! I'm very pleased with them and I have no problem telling that I'm a happy customer.

$43 per month "Very good ISP that use the best network" "None so far. Maybe I would prefer 300GB instead of 250GB." "Very happy I switch instead of waiting for Teksavvy."

I was with Teksavvy on a dry loop 5MB 300GB DSL service. Teksavvy was incredible with tech support 3-4 years ago. But with time, my connection wasn't very constant and the service kind of got worst. Sometime, I would get 2MB on speedtest and other time 5MB. My ping was between 60 and 120ms and I was getting frustrated.
But in january, with the new pricing of ElectronicBox and all the positive reviews, I decided to switch to a 8MB 250GB cable service. Paid 232$ for the first month (modem + installation + shipping + first month service + tx). Videotron came on february first and installed the cable. Setup the modem by myself and after 20 minutes of flashing, internet was there. Speedtest again and I'm at 8.03MB and a 6-9MS ping.
Youtube is now a lot faster as others kind of downloads too. And with a 250GB, I'm not going to go over if I'm a little bit careful.
Only negative about ElectronicBox is the lack of a first email with your information. To check how much your bandwith you spend, you need a "VL" code. I had to ask for it by email and I don't know why they don't send you an email with all your info when you subscribe. But they answered my email in 19 minutes. So it's not that bad. And I don't know if I'm supposed to have an email @electronicbox.net too. The sale person never asked me for this so it's probably no. Gmail is my friend after all.
Long live ElectronicBox. Very proud to be a customer of an independant Quebec ISP.

I have been on the look-out to change ISP for a few months now, and i have to say i am happy to have stumbled upon EBox.
As many may know, the prices for Cable and DSL in the province of Quebec have considerably disminished since Feb 1st due to the CRTC's decision. This is finally giving enough leverage to local ISPs to offer a considerable competition to Vidéotron and Bell.
In my case, i switched from Vidéotron's 8 Mbit/50GB to Electronic Box 15 Mbit/125GB cable service.
I would pay roughly 53$/month to Vidéotron for the cable service (including taxes AND a 10$/Mo rebate for having 3 services with the company) and more than often, i would bust the GB cap. Throw in 12$ for the 30GB block and i was averaging a 65$ bill monthly. The service was very reliable nonetheless but damn, it's expensive!
I now pay 45$/month (tax in.) for a service that is twice as fast and has double the bandwith. And since the cable infrastructures in Montréal are owned by Vidéotron, this means that i virtually have the same reliability for less expensive.
The price is right, and the service has been pristine so far... even for the installation.
I felt like i had to give my output on the service mainly because this is the first time i feel privileged as a customer. Everything has been flawless and i hope EBox continues to treat customers the same way they treated me. I am sure of their success!

I checked all the local companies and the big ones. Was with Bell forever. They would always offer a decent price when you complained. But then the price would gradually drift back up. Not bad deals for new customers, but nothing for long time customers. After a few years I'd always end up paying more than the going rate - no one would offer me the reduced rates.
We've got 8/1Gbit cable for $32, twice the speed at little over half the cost. We'll cover the cost of switching in no time. Might switch to 15Gbit later for $8 more. The speed is actually over 8 & 1 for us.
We were connected and running in 7 business days.
And there's no long term commitment.

Very good so far. Good service and good price. They could have a better website to track usage, but that is just the smallest of complaints
