I was switching from a fiber to a cable internet service, therefore the teck support from videotron (compagny who owns the cable network) had to come to my house to install the connection outside the house. So the main inconvenient was that videotron sent us the teck person about 10 days after i had contacted electronic box and i find the delay rather long.

The facturation details is not easy to understand. I know exactly how much Go im using, the problem redides in the summary. The only thing i want to know is if i have reached my dload limit for the time period. I dont have that summary.

Very good customer services, easier to reach through emails.

I had basic no limit DSL for years with them with absolutely no problem whatsoever.. One day decided to discontinue Bell phone line and switched to Cable 25. Again I have no problem with the service. I could find a provider for a slightly lower price but I like the company and their service...

15 mgp, 125 gb...le branchement a été smooth, mais semble-t-il que tous les employés ne reçoivent pas la même info...à propos de la facturation, j'ai reçu 3 infos différentes...aucun paiement mensuel ne devait passé sur ma carte avant la mi-mai ( premier et deuxiéme intervenant contactés m'ont dit que la facturation se faisait le 7 du mois, et crédité le 14 de chaque mois ) et finalement, tout a passé...le 23 avril !!! Pas très content avec cette situation, mais enfin...par contre, la connection n'a aucun problème...

Aussi, on devrait pouvoir voir notre consommation internet dans notre compte 24/24 ,( l'idées d'envoyer un courriel à 90% de consommation serait une bonne idée a implanter) ce qui n'est pas le cas en ce moment. Et je présume qu'une bonne partie de votre clientèle est francophone, donc il serait apprécié qu'il y ait un effort pour que le tout soit en français...j'ai souvent tombé sur des pages juste en anglais. ( comme celles-ci...) Bref, satisfait, sauf pour ces petites lacunes...

vous pouvez voir votre conso 24/24... entre ton username sur leur page pour vérifier la conso et le tour est joué.

DSLREPORTS n'appartient pas a EBOX. leur site en entier est en francais et les emails sont en francais.

Pour le staff, on ne peut y échapper, surement que la compagnie a du engager plusieurs nouveaux qui ne sont pas encore 100% =)

the only bad side was the time to wait for the installation the guy told me (1 to 3 week) but it took 8 days,

Signed up on 11/21/13 was setup on 28-11-2013
Videotron tech ran new wiring and left after confirming modem sync and told me call ebox to activate.
Ebox activated everything and all seemed work fine except bittorrent and some large file downloads(Linux iso's)

I have spoken with ebox Eric and he tried to help me solve my remaining issues but after switching routers 4 times i just gave up.

They have performed some test and tell me connection is fine but still considering asking them swap the modem for docsis3 version in the hope it will help.

But overall even with minor issues i have recommended to friends and they are very happy with service as well.

UpdateApril 7 2014: Picked up an DCM475 and all is well no issue to report at all.

Good day,
We greatly appreciate your comments. I am convinced that M. Ebox Eric offered you the appropriate assistance but when you mention that you are considering swapping modems for a Docsis 3.0, I am under the impression that you have a Docsis 2.0. If this is the case, maybe a speed upgrade could resolve the situation you have mentioned.

Took a 20/10Mbit internet package, along with VOIP setup.

The order process went fine, and got my packages in a reasonable delay.

The installation for the internet was simple, but the connection was flaky for a couple of days, and then it settled.
Cable modem was a Thompson DCM475 and SIP Gateway a Mediatrix 4102.

As far as the VOIP goes, the equipment provided (and paid for be me, of course), isn't particularly good. It requires manual resetting after power losses since it doesn't get a new IP if it gets one before cable model connection is established. It took a while to get it to work, but tech support was very helpful.

The SIP gateway is entirely managed by Electronic Box, and you are effectively locked out of your own device. Electronic Box do not take responsibility for misuse consequent to bad configuration and securing of the device
from their part. My VOIP account was hacked and they charged me 135$ worth of calls to the Barbados.
I sent them an email contesting the charges and had no feedback for a month until I complained again. They offered to reimburse 60$, leaving me with 75$ of charges.

Overall, cable internet is good since provided by Videotron. Good value there.
I would definitely not recommend their VOIP services, based on my experience.
