EDIT: I've been using SecureNet since April of 2006 - it's January 2007 now.
I've had no service outages and excellent throughput.

If you don't want cable or satellite TV or a home phone line, this is THE least expensive route. V!deotron would charge you nearly twice as much for a "no quota" connection without subscribing to their other services.

I don't have a home phone line or cable connection.

SecureNet offered me a "dry-loop" POTS line (no dial-tone, just for DSL) and an UNLIMITED DSL connection with no download cap for about $45CAD (~$40USD) per month.
(that's about $50CAD/$45USD after all taxes)

Speeds are listed as either 3096/800 or 3500/680. I get about 3500/650 in testing so the latter seems about right.

    Highly recommended.

PPPoE, DynamicIP (static available for an extra fee), using an Alcatel SpeedTouch Home DSL modem, D-Link DI-524 802.11g router.

BTW: I think their name might be in response to the fact that the big player in Quebec, Videotron, has gone on public record stating they will hand over names and usage habits of subscribers to governmental agencies. SecureNet won't.
