I was stuck with satellite internet until I found AtlasOK Wireless. I wish I had found them before going with satellite but that's okay, I'm with them now. The installation was great, arrived on time and knew what they were doing. I had uninstalled drivers and modem from my satellite provider and went one step to far and deleted my NIC card's drivers which I got up and running in no time. The speedtests have always been spot on what I'm paying for (768Kbps) and my ping from Catoosa to Seattle was 59ms. So my PS3 and PC gaming is back! There is one level of service that is about 20-25% faster downloads but at a $20 hike, even a heavy user like me doesn't find that too appealing at the moment. However, I am very pleased and will be a long term customer as long as I live in this area.

Talala,Rogers,OK
$65 per month- (12 month contract)
about 27 days "Reliable signal and advertised speeds" "Company seems somewhat unorganized" "10000% better than satellite Internet services"

I was the first install on a new tower. There were some problems with their equipment that took a couple of weeks to sort out. Once those problems were resolved, the service has been reliable with consistent speeds.
My biggest problem has been with their "administrative" operations. After spelling my name for two different people and writing it correctly on the install order, they have it spelled 3 different ways (ALL of them wrong) on the contract, PPoE account and billing info.
Then, even though I had requested their "extended" 1024/256 package, both billing and technical accounts were set up with the low-end 768/256 pkg prices & speeds. When I talked to them about correcting my account, they made the change in the billing system but not on the technical side which actually caps the connection speed. Luckily, all this got sorted out before my first bill. Was just a little frustrating.
Still, even with these "problems", I am so very happy to be off Hughesnet (DirecWay). Over 90% of my Internet usage is via secure sites &/or VPN. Wireless is 10000% better and $35 cheaper!
Well, I've had the service for a couple of years now and the initial installation issues have been the only ones that I've had. Overall, this has been a great ISP experience and I recommend Atlas.
