I have grown wearly of Comcast's position as the most widely used choice
for those of us who don't live close enough to town to get DSL. Their
frequent rate increases for their cable TV service -- without any
improvement in their offered services for the additional $$$ -- made me
want to look elsewhere, so I looked at the wireless options available here.
After speaking with the principals at Grappa I decided to try them out.
Since one initial scheduling hiccup with the tech who was to survey my
home site, every single contact with Grappa has been outstanding. Their
Tech Support has been incredibly responsive, and they do a terrific job of
keeping subscribers advised of the current state of the system as well as
keeping us notified of scheduled outages and so on.

The installation of our wireless radio went quite quickly, though I had to
actually get the service running on my computer as the tech wasn't able to
quickly figure out why it wasn't working(!) To be fair, this was a contracted
service and not Grappa personnel. Reliability has been excellent, with only
one service-related problem that required reporting. That problem was
quickly dispatched with a reboot of my receiver to take advantage of some
system upgrades.

Speed thus far has been less than that of a cable modem, but Grappa has
worked continuously to increase it with a series of no-cost-to-the-user
upgrades to their system. They have made some major improvements is
the 7 months I have been a user.
