About nine months ago I heard that Xtratyme was expanding into my area. I emailed them, and got a very informative packet with all the info I needed. I then emailed and called them to schedule a site survey (I live in a grove of trees). Didn't hear from them. Fast forward to present day: on a whim (particularly angry with Starband one day) I sent another message to them via their website, www.xtratyme.com, and I got a response right away. The owner/manager came out the next day and said he could get me going. Came out the following day to do a more detailed analysis. He told me they would contact me for an install date. Two weeks later they arrived and installed the antenna at the treeline and ran the cable into my office. They had some router issues which, with their help over about three weeks, we determined was 2.4ghz interference from some other devices I had in the house. Speed can go as high as 1.5Mb/s but my package is 512 down/256 up. Latency for gaming is about 40ms. Very happy. Starband was 512 down (ha!) and 30 up for $70 a month, Xtratyme charges me $50. Customer 4 life!!
