|Pre Sales information:|
Value for money:
Package - 3.5M/235K service plan
Price: $390.00/month CDN
1.2M Dish/4 Watt BUC
Ordering and install was fairly smooth, a learning curve involved but nothing serious. Easy to network.
Good Experience: Steady ping times around 600mS even when VoIP is running, can run up to 3 VoIP systems on one dish. Also capable of running VPN with few problems and relatively fast speeds (for Satellite)
Bad Experience; Quality of the NOC techs varies wildly from "not a clue" to "truly professional", so it can be a roll of the dice. Rules for service changes stream change seem to change from day to day and now NOC hours have changed.
That being said, Unasat has been responsive to problems and have been fairly quick to rectify issues.
The worst of experiences: Unasat closed their doors approx. 1 year ago leaving me hanging with 40 systems that are nothing more then paperweights.
In their dying days service went from bad to worse and tech support was almost impossible to find.
Anyone like to buy some Viasat modems as souveniers?
