Woodinville,King,WA
Business customer
$150 per month (12 month contract)
about 60 days
"1 sales, 2 techs, 2 account recievable, 1 secretary = a very small company that can't get the job done. Go find someone else."
"Too many to list. The worst is the accounting department which double charged me."
"Avoid this company at all cost! I rather have AOL then this company."

I truely believe this company is the worst internet provider I have ever used. I would put these people below AOL. They put me on hold for 20-30 minutes. I'm not good using the computers and I can tech the techs a thing or two. Accounting people have no idea what the hell they are doing. They charged me for everything!

Trying to get them to come out and fix the covad line is a joke! No internet for 1 week and when they did come out, the line was repaired. 2 days later it broke again and it took them another week to get someone out here. THIS IS A COMPANY and we can't tolerate this kind of service. I have since moved my service to well known companys, such as Speakeasy.

The customer service is a joke as well. Put me on hold forever. I was once on the phone with them for an hour. I stayed on for an hour because I just wanted to see how long they would actually put a customer on hold. When they came back, they had no clue who they were talking to.

Monthly throughput is not enough. They might be cheap on the monthly charge, but they get you on the throughput. 99 dollars and then 50 dollars because you went over your limit. Thats BS. For everyone who is looking for service in Woodinville, get something like Speakeasy. At the least, get AOL. At least AOL won't double charge you 3 times.

Verizon (ex GTE)
"Excellent support and connectivity, ATM support"
"Base monthly transfer limits are pretty low in most packages (1GB)"
"A very good choice for service"

I've done several DSL installs at other locations for business and this one was very smooth. Despite Verizon telling me it would be 45-60 days before installation, I was up and running in around three weeks! I've been waiting for DSL access in my area (Big Lake, WA) for quite some time and I'm please to say that it is running very well.

I ordered Verizon's Platinum speed (1.5Mb). The order process was a little frustrating, as Verizon only is supporting ATM based DSL in their new installs and most ISPs in this area only do frame relay (after I located Seanet I was in business!). I received my Westell modem very promptly and had no problems setting it up.

The only hiccup in the whole process was during the installation. I received a postcard telling me that my DSL would be activated on the 7th. It was not. The next day I spent on the phone and was assured a technician would come out the next day, and they did send one out. As it turns out, I was the first customer in the local CO to use DSL and the install tech had not seated the card in the CO properly that was hooked to my modem. Overall they did a very good job.

I highly recommend Seanet/Premier1 as your choice for an ISP. They have been very responsive with their technical support and have a realistic view of working with the TELCOs. I had a problem with my line speed and it was fixed within two hours of me reporting the problem.

Hats off to Verizon and Seanet.

Tacoma,Pierce,WA

CLEC party: NorthPoint
"Tech Support is A-One! These guys stay with you until it's going."
"Some confusion between Northpoint techs and Seanet techs."
"Couldn't get iDSL from anyone else at this low price (well lower than other providers)"

I ordered iDSL through Seanet.com mainly because they were partners with Northpoint who originally installed my inside wiring from my last ISP that went bankrupt. Everything was going smoothly until I tried to query Seanet's server with RASPPPOE. No matter what, I could not reach the server. We (the Seanet tech and I) tried every conceivable solution, but were not able to get it going. They even went as far as sending one of their techs out to my residence (which is not usual practice) to work on it, all without success. In the meantime I had already been billed for my DSL connection even though I wasn't able to connect except through their dial-up modem line (This would be fixed by the billing dept with no problems). These guys kept working on it, and I became a well-known trouble case in their tech dept. As a last resort, Seanet sent out a Northpoint tech to check my DSL bridge and see if he could fine the problem. He showed up at my house at 7pm Friday night and was on the phone with Northpoint for about an hour or so. Turns out the problem was at the DSLAM and not at my end. Seems the DSLAM was reprogramed and no one realized it until the Northpoint tech figured it out. So from Jan 10th til Feb 3rd, Seanet worked furiosly to get me up and running and didn't give up. Kudos to the Seanet staff!!!!!!! Now I'm up and running and although my speeds aren't phenominal (140-150k), It's great to be faster than dial-up, and not have to tie up the phone line. Thank you Seanet.com.

Issaquah,King,WA
$120 per month (12 month contract)
about 24 days
Qwest
CLEC party: Covad
"Very reliable, I've never experienced an outage"
"Very difficult to change DSL service (i.e. 768K sDSL to 1.5M/384 aDSL"
"Make sure you select the correct product initially...hard to change"
Connection reliability:

Value for money:

I've had a DSL circuit for about 18 months. It has been extremely reliable. However, in the last six months or so...with all of the new competitors in the market, they (Seanet/Covad) have added more circuit choices. I can save $50 to $60 dollars a month by switching to a 1.5M/384K sDSL circuit. There are incentives to new customers (free gear, no install fee) BUT the customer that has been with them for a long time (in DSL time) can't get there service changed. The original order went very smoothly, the Covad tech was great. But I've been on the phone with them (Seanet) for three hours trying to get them to handle the circuit change. One more thing, Qwest won't even sell me a DSL circuit because their circuit testing (from Web) says not available. I'm on the same 100 pair that my neighbors on both sides of me are on and they both have Qwest Megabit service. In fact, Covad is riding my 768K sDSL circuit on a pair of Qwest wires going to the same CO that Qwest of course would use.
